Don't really like whiskey, went off it when I was pregnant with DD1 38 years ago and never went back...gimme wine any day!

OH is much better to-day thanks Redruby, he is sleeping late and going to bed earlier, the builder was here to-day and he helped him out so must be feeling up to it or he would have said.

  • Beth-Thinking of your OH, you and family. Positive vibes coming your way xx

With regards to my helper....I know she only did just over an hour as we have a security system/camera in each room which gets backed up to the computer and records 24/7. She is aware of this as I told her at the interview. She is a private helper not agency and doesnt clean as such but helps out with jobs I cant do and OH hates. I also get her to do my ironing and this has been very poor lately too.

I really dont know what to do:confused: ...I had an email a couple of weeks back from a lovely sounding South African lady (similar age to me)...no children and she works full-time (night) for the London Underground but is looking for a second job to top her money up. She sent me her CV and TBH it was very impressive. I emailed her back stating that I had filled the position and she emailed back asking if I could keep her in mind for the future.

I fund this help from my DLA. I get Direct Payments from SS for a few hrs a week but that is to cover some of my personal care (agency) and the cleaning company to come in on a Friday and give the house a really thorough clean as I am prone to infections easily. I like the helper to come in on a Monday as it gets me fixed for the week ahead IYKWIM and I am really trying to sort things myself without burdening OH as I would love for him to go back to work PT.

Its just so bloody frustrating.....my brain is saying "get off your !!!!! and do everthing!", but my body wont let me!

I am really lucky and cant moan about the help I receive or my health too much as there is always someone more worse off.

Sorry for going on so much!!:o

  • Beth, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
  • Bethebee-My post sounds really selfish compared to your problems and I apologise for that. Sorry.
