Hello all, late to the thread. Don't know if the sig has now been amended but it doesn't affect me. However, post 30 tripled the width of the forum for me  Just in case that's helpful...

Any reason that you are using an old version? Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

That's very interesting, So what you're saying is when you look at other threads that Sarah has been on such as this one (CLICK), your forum view is normal but on this thread it became distorted due to the long lines of text with no spaces.
If that is the case, the way I explain it is that your computer has the same problem as mine and others on displaying long text with no spaces. But your computer does not enlarge certain types of text on webpages, eg on MSE the signatures and on google home page the text below the search box relative to the text - top left of the screen.
Unfortunately we still have not determined the exact cause of the text size problem. Displaying long text with automatic wrapping appears to be something FF2 just does not do.
Some people have said they experience the same problems from time to time, they have said they use FF3 and IE7 unfortunately they did not give examples of when they see the problem and whether it was different font sizes causing the problem or non-wrapping causing the problem.0 -

Dunno really... when it tells me there's an update I do it, but I don't go LOOKING for stuff to do...I'm a great believer in 'if it aint broke...' and this thread does not raise an issue serious enough for me to consider it 'broke'

Mozilla will stop supporting FF2 from December this year.
What is your OS?
As an aside when I ask FF2.005 to check for updates it comes back empty handed even though there is a 2.0016 available.0 -

Fine as long as you are aware of the following:Firefox 2.0.0.x will be maintained with security and stability updates until mid-December, 2008. All users are strongly encouraged to upgrade to Firefox 3. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

Firefox 3 doesnt work on windows 98, so the upgrade is out of the question
http://support.mozilla.com/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?locale=en-US&comments_parentId=74873&forumId=1
Also microsoft ditched 98 support years ago, so we are working with something (FF and 98) which is "supported" but probably not high on the update/fix rate for issues such as this.
The first obvious question is do you have this issue on other forums?
Do you have the same issue with Internet explorer, or opera?
What effect does changing the screen resolution and font sizes (in the display properties - appearance) have on this issue?
(on your screenshots it looks like your fonts are larger than standard, however in fairness increasing/decreasing font sizes in FF3, the forum still still resizes for me, but when it got too big it went off the page)
Also id imagine you have the latest graphic drivers for your graphics card.
Some notes
My screen resolution is 1280 x 800
My windows font size is normal0 -
One final thing to try in FF
