The text does not wrap for me and stays on one line. a very very very long line.
So the question is why does this happen to me (and others) only with certain users posts?
I've said twice now, yes - it happens to me.
No idea why.
If it's only one or two posters, why are you so aerated about it?0 -
Here's something, look at where the post text stops relative to the signature
.
.
.
The reason is because my 'puter is somehow displayimg the sig at a greater font size relative to the post text.
This does not explain why wrapping (where no spaces are used) does not happen on my 'puter, but it does with others.
The problem with sarah's posts for me is a combination of large font size on the sig and no spaces in her sig.0 -
This is interesting...I wonder if it could be an issue with FF2 somehow...I've tried it in ie6, ff3 and chrome and have no problems at all...would be interesting to see if you upgrading to ff3 would fix it...
(probably worth doing anywho...)0 -
I'm posting now in IE6
and the forum is fine Sarah's posts are showing fine, I wonder if as you say it is FF2. The reason I did not upgrade to FF3 is I think it is not comaptible with Win 98.
Oh and for good measure, I checked where the text stops in IE6 in that post I screen capped above - relative to the sig..... and it stops in the same place as it does with the first screen cap - and that user is on FF. So I wonder if that user has FF3.0 -

I'm on FF3.
All fine with me.0 -
You haven't read my posts, have you?
3rd time lucky:
browser menu at the top, then: View > Text Size > Medium
I did read your posts, you were the one who mentioned different text sizes for different parts of the board. Which gave me a clue to look at that area.
I don't use IE6, I use FF2 and I change text size with ctrl + - In this case if I reduce the text size to put the full post onto one page the text is too small to read.
Plus text size does not affect the wrapping.0 -
Where do you live, Wiggy? I'll come round and sort your PC out.
And I'm a girl!0 -
Apologies, now I've reminded myself by looking at Firefox, I see that the menu I'm on about does exactly the same size adjustment as the control key with +/- or scrollwheel. Different in IE7, which zooms the whole page with the latter0
