Getting PAC code from Virgin Mobile !
I've just come to an end of a 6 month Virgin Mobile SIM only deal @ £15/month.
So,i thought I'd call them to get my PAC code and move to another provider.
Sounds nice and simple?
I was put through to three different people in 10 minutes finally being told,"Eh,the Pac guys are busy at the moment, they'll PROBABLY give you a call back in the next 24 hours."
Anyone know a quick simple way to get free of them?
Thanks in advance

It can only be done by contacting them, if the pac guys are so busy there must be a lot of people leaving tham and I can see why with crap customer service that they have given you. They will no doubt be saying it in the hope that you forget about it and stick with them. I would give them a call back as I cant see them calling you back.0

Also,Virgin charge me 10p a minute to talk to an adviser (which means getting put on hold for 15 minutes) !!!!!
STILL waiting on a response from them !0 -
10p flat rate call though no matter how long your on hold it's only 10p I thought (at least thats what they always charged me).....when I requested a PAC they took all my details & said they'd pass them onto the PAC team & i'd receive my code in the post in a few days....took nearly a week but it arrivedWe all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0

Yes,you're correct ,it is a 10 p flat charge.
I have emailled them also and received this response:
"We tried calling you today to resolve this issue, but sadly we were unable to reach you"
Considering I had my mobile with me all day and NO calls were received, this seems to be unlikely.
In addition, they said this,"We've passed your details on to the relevant team and as soon they've got your PAC handy they'll send a confirmation letter through the post"
"HANDY" ?!!!!!!!!
Just been on the phone again to them:getting the run around again and have been promised someone will call me "within the hour".

FWIW I emailed them asking for my PAC code and they phoned me back about 12 hours later. My code should arrive in the post in around 5 working days.
Update: And I can confirm that it did.Stompa0 -
I also emailed them via their website (it's not very obvious, but login and then click 'contact us' at the bottom of the page). They got back to me within a couple of hours said they'd send it to me by post. Few days later I received a letter, but where it said 'PAC code:', there was just a date!! However, I emailed them again via website, and they again rang up a couple of hours later and gave me the code directly over the phone. So was a bit of hassle, but at least completely free and relatively fast!0

I'm trying to get my PAC code too. I found it quite annoying thaat they needed so many personal details for me which as a PAYG customer - i've never had to give before. No worries - i'm Mr Wayne Kerr to them :-)
They said I can try calling in 2-3 days and they may be able to give me the code over the phone. We shall see.
FWIW i'm moving to ASDA mobile.0 -
I called them last Saturday and was told that the people who issue PACs are busy so the lady said she'd email them and ask them to call me within 48 hours. No call but on Tuesday I received the code via text and that was followed by a letter with the code.0
