Just signed up my third team member :j
The other lady I was supposed to see today had to take her elderly mum to hospital so that might be next week but anyway I should get my £30 this time:DLBM 31/01/2009: £19,422
Chrimbo crackers: £207.17/£5100 -
But I was thinking of buying them for when my friends come round. I will only wear them when they are around as I prefer to go bare feet.
You must have a warm carpet thenHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

I do indeed !!!!!! Here, it is very thick and deep, I have a rich Landlord... luckily but I have always preferred bare feet to wearing slippers at home. However.. on this occasion may invest in some... just to promote them.:D0 -

Most definitely not in the wrong place alwaysconfused.!:D If there is anyone from here who lives or is near Gloucester, I am sure they would love to come to your Ladies Evening.
Thank you so much for asking. :beer:0 -
well just gone on my rounds collected 20 books and not one order"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit, but Wisdom is knowing not to put it in a fruit salad."0

don't be disheartened funkyfish. It just takes one customer to put in a big order and then you will suddenly find you are picking up orders everywhere.
My new rep dropped 20 books on Wednesday and called me this morning to tell me she hadn't got a single order.0 -
Hi Everyone
I'm not an Avon Rep as of yet but sort of contemplating it. Ben reading through the thread and it sounds like fun! I am a mum of 2 young boys (2 and 6) and my husband works full time although he is on minimum wage. We get tax credits to top us up and i am wondering if anyone knows how earning with Avon would affect tax credits? Especially as its not a fixed income!
I am considering avon because its time to do something for me! Since having the children i guess i have lost a lot of my confidence and friends drifted away so i dont feel like i have a life outside of the family and home and it is starting to get me down!
I am studying for a degree with the Open Uni (Although my next course doesnt start til Jan) And with 4 hour school runs every day, i dont even know if i would have time to do it?
My area is pretty bad though and i dont know if i would feel safe walking the streets at night - is there anyone who only drops during the day?
Is there a certain amount you have to get in orders? I was going to do ann summers before but i felt REALLY pressured to book 3 parties within the first week of being signed up and as noone was interested i ended up quitting and although i regretted it, i didnt like feeling too pressured!
Sorry for the long rambling post, i just dont want to get myself into something that i cannot keep up with, especially as i dont think i would make any money from it (with it affecting tax credits - if it does!)
I hope someone can help me decide what to do! Any advice appreciated. This is my first time on this forum and i have loved reading this thread - it sounds like fun!
Thanks - Lynette0 -
Thanks for your useful advice last time I popped in, Aureol. Are there any reps here who also live in Spain? I'm still considering giving it a go! My other work is done from home, so it would be nice to do something that gets me out and about.0

Lynette - I have no idea about tax credits, but it's worth checking out how any extra income would affect them. As you say, you need somethng to do for YOU, and although studying is positive it's solitary. Avon would get you talking to people, and you could take catalogues to school, mum and toddler groups (if you have time!), doctors and dentists' surgeries, offices ...0
