thanks sheena and 69chick. Where I live, they haven't had anyone do Avon for a very long time, there are other reps in the area, but for some reason they have never asked for more territory. So to start with, people were checking to see if I would come back for books when I said I would, then they would see if I would actually come back with their deliveries.

2 of my regulars are on holiday all through September and asked for books from October. Through regular canvassing of my area, I have picked up new customers, and also found people ordered once and never again. But I still keep giving them a book until they tell me to stop. They may order again.

But I have been going to hairdressers, beauticians, my local baby group, my local fish and chip shop, my dr's surgery, canvassing friends, don't have family locally, and it is paying off. I am getting more orders from these people then I do my regular customers!

So I am a success story, just shows I started with nothing and am now getting really good orders, and have just become a Sales Leader.

hey, if I can do it, everyone can :-) This is from a mum, who had her first child 23 months ago, had PND, lost all her self confidence, couldn't face going back to work in an office, wanted to be able to see her DS grow up, take him to school, etc. Was scared to knock on doors....I now carry my business cards all the time, and have had new ones made up for potential rep appointments, and am now networking on Facebook.

So come on girls and boys, as the Boots song goes, "here come the girls...... and boys...."

Just had a FB (facebook) message, as just put a new status on there, asking for reps and if anyone wants to buy avon...

my friend's sister in law is stopping doing Avon, so she is going to buy from me and is going to see if the customers her SIL had, want to buy from me.

Advertising really works, in all shapes, forms and sizes.
  • Well done Aureol you really seem to be going for it (you get out what you put in) :T My asm told me last night not far from me a couple are making £130,000 per anum thats my goal :rotfl:(maybe 1 day).

69chick thanks and yes it was her who was going to do avon, hopefully she has changed her mind.;)

I live next to a main street with 4 hairdresser on it might try my luck down there on camp 17.

oh and well done on your facebook advertising

  • Hey,
Just wondering if anyone else has ordered the Boost Your Business pack lately. I mostly did because i was going to buy all the make up brushes anyway since mine are like 6mths old and slightly ruined as my lil boy has rather camp tendencies. Well Anyway, i'm sure i read it had 16 full sized products and about 3 of them were mascaras.. mine had 15 products 3 were fragrance.. NO mascaras. I kinda wanted a new mascara. I'm not sure if i'm happy about the perfumes or gutted theres no mascara. I can't seem to find a list of what was meant to be in it now though, i might have just imagined the whole thing :s

I'm going to have an awesome hour organising all my samples though.. Not that i'm weird or anything :)

Have mocked up a note for my customers about my absence over Christmas, what do you think:
Campaign 16 items will be arriving on 21st October and I will be aiming to deliver these on 22nd October onwards.
Campaign 18 is the Christmas edition and will be arriving with you mid November with deliveries around 27th November.
Campaign 1 will be arriving with you around 7th December. These orders will arrive on DECEMBER 22ND 2009.
I am breaking up for Christmas on 23rd December and not starting again until 10th January 2010 (It’s my 30th on the 8th and want to take a well deserved break!).
THEREFORE IF YOU REQUIRE ANYTHING URGENTLY FROM CAMPAIGN 1 I WILL ONLY BE DELIVERING ON DECEMBER 22ND AND EARLY ON 23RD
I will be missing Campaign 2, and Campaign 3 will be arriving some time after 10th January.

I have then done another one with the camp before that for the other half of my territory.
I am getting myself confused though as I would like them to perhaps take a brochure if they wish and maybe e-mail or text me the order and get it delivered to where I am in London?
What do you think? I also don't want to tell people I am not at home as I have had problems with kids coming onto my property recently from the estate and if they know the house is empty then that's just asking to be burgled!! x
