  • Hi everyone, I recently started avon so need to register as self emplyed, I know that you can claim back petrol and things but would my car insurance have to be down as business use for that? What else would I be able to claim back? Thanks :)

Can anyone tell me how I can do my online return slip if I cannot find the product online?

You can't unfortunately, I had the same problem last month. you will either need to do a manual return by filling out the returns book.

My C15 order arrived today, everything present and correct. I've got the Absinthe perfume and am wearing it now to get used to it. it smells better in real life than it does on the scratch and sniff page imo. I haven't bagged up my orders yet, but do we need to bag up the contents of the free bag too? how lazy of Avon! I've also bought the mens version and I'll let my OH try that out later. There was a free toiletry bag with that one too, but I don't think there is anything to go in the blokes one

Re The Bond Girl gift set, the box it comes in is very big! Had to juggle it about to get it out of the box lol. Very nice looking gift though and looks like something much much more expensive than it is. It wouldn't look out of place in the Debenhams fragrance dept. Very impressed with it. In comparison the Far and Away gift set is tiny lol!

That's a really good question. Personally, I'd be wary of declaring car expenses if you're not insured for business use as things can be so easily cross-referenced these days. Possibly better to maximise all your other allowable expenses and forget about the car costs.
What does everyone else think

On another note - My C1 delivery in 22 December. I was hoping to be in London by this date, but now think I may have to wait until that evening or the next day and hold people's delivery until I get back BUT I am not planning on coming back until 10 Jan - missing my C2 campaign.

    Hi Lyndsey

You could arrange with Avon for that order to be delivered elsewhere, i.e., in London if you don't mind bringing it back yourself in Jan.

I agree! I have also come across a problem with house contents insurance.... been getting quotes online and all the prices all state the only business use of the property must be to complete paperwork/administration and make telephone calls.

From the people ive spoke to it seems that therefore if i accepted the online quote my insurance could be invalid when then discovered that i held boxes of stock in my house and used it for sorting deliveries etc, and also had the money there overnight after deliveries because i would have broke the terms and conditions of the quote.

Which means god forbid i was broken into i wouldnt neccessarily be covered and deffo couldnt say well they stole £xxx amount of stock and £xxx of my business money in my claim!
