I'm thinking that I might also have to bite the bullet and leave a book at the hairdressers and surgeries etc.
I'm just thinking what to say now lolSealed pot challenge 18750 -
And me I'm very shy. I haven't even had the bottle to knock on doors before leaving a brochure. Thats probably why I haven't had many orders lol!
Will have to 'man up' and sort myself I think!
I was thinking of phoning the hairdressers, but I should go personally I think.C14 £129, C15 £126 , C16 £442:T, C17 £290, C18 £215, C1 £1200 -
It's better to go personally to the hairdressers, surgeries, etc. I just walked into my local hairdressers, was asking about an offer they had on, and casually asked, "oh do you get to see an Avon book?" and she said, yes, here it is and lifted up one left by another rep. LOL
The same with my Dr's surgery, just asked the Receptionists, if they would like to see an Avon book, the same at my local Fish and Chip shop.
So, you could be having a conversation with them and just casually ask if they see an Avon book, and if they don't would they like to see one?
It does get easier after the first one, and when they start placing orders, your confidence gets higher.
Come on girls, let's boost those sales.
Oh and by the way, I never get very high orders, but the last two campaigns, through extra canvassing like this, have managed to make £90 discount for myself. Not bad going for someone only making £30 a month if she was lucky.0 -
Oh heard a rumour too. You know those pull along fancy shopping bag/trolley things you see young women with now, not just for older women you know.... Avon are bringing out their own branded one.
Think it was Lozza1985 who suggested using one of these to transport orders and books around rather than a bag on your shoulder. I mentioned to my SL that I wished Avon had one of these pull along trolleys as I want to get one, that would make it easier for me. And she told me, Avon were bringing one out....0 -
Also were can I get cellophane gift bags to make up bags of goodies . I have a McMillan cofee morning next week also playgroup ladies night and a xmas fete coming up that I want to make up bags for.

unfortunately cannot go through cashback sites for them. Haven't tried nectar, might be worth seeing if they have discount codes.

afternoon all...i have a problem. a customer ordered £69s worth last campaign. she always orders and always pays. this time she asked if she could pay in 2 installments. i said it gets complicated with changing campaigns etc but if its all within the next 2 weeks i didnt see a problem. so...1st installment of £30 was supposed to be on saturday. when i knocked i heard her little girl say 'that must me mummy come back' and her friend answered. she told me she had nipped to the shops so i said i would come back today as im doing rounds anyway.
knocked...no answer
just got a text from her saying shes sorry but shes had to go away cause of family problems and she still wants the stuff so could i hold it for her for 2 weeks? i said i will talk to the sales leader and see what she says...so instead im asking YOU...what do i do?
shes a good customer and i dont think shes making it up. i dont mind holding it for her but the only thing is that i need to order my next batch of stuff on tuesday night...and delivery will be the following monday. I would return it and re order it but im running two campaigns and her orders are from the oldest one so by then i wont be able to order it for the same price....please someone give me some suggestions.camp 12=£443 13=£425 14=£277 15=£474 16=£492 17=£438 18=£437 1=£319 2=£153:o 3=£220 :jSALES LEADER:j4=£202 5=£191 6=£167 7=£193 8=£216 9=£211

oh dancingbutterfly - that is such a shame.
Is it worth asking at the hairdressers, supermarkets, corner shops, newsagents, baby groups, diet groups, banks, beauty shops, beauticians, greengrocers, etc if anyone who does not already see an Avon book, would like to see one?
I am hoping that if she covers the whole village already, she does not do all these as well. Then you can carry on doing Avon too.:D0 -

no moneymaker, do not mind at all.
Actually if you join the Boots Refugees on Proboards, you have to sign up with your MSE username, some of the Mods are running Christmas themes, what to do for Christmas, etc.. things for the kids, making your own cards, might be able to get a few ideas there too.
