Also were can I get cellophane gift bags to make up bags of goodies .
What about getting creative with florists cellophane on ebay? They use that for hampers and I guess with a bit of sellotape and ribbon it could work quite well. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

Almost all of my customers give me both copies of the order back. I then put the under-copy in with their order so that they can check it is correct. If they keep the copy, then that's fine. I keep the top copy for my own records.
With the bad weather coming up, you might find this tip for handling wet brochure bags of some help:
Spread a bath/beach towel on the floor and tip all your brochures onto that - this contains all the drips and helps them to start drying off.
Lay an old hand towel or tea towel on the table with the short edge towards you. You can then fold it over the brochure and blot dry. If they're really soggy, then you may need to use a dry towel half way through. The trusty roll of kitchen paper then mops up any last drops.
Having said that - lets all pray for dry weather........I HATE soggy books

Have been more of a lurker recently, but just been really busy.
I get between £800 and £1000 of sales normally, but this is because I have been doing Kleeneze for three years. Some of my customers kept asking me if I could do Avon as well. So when I told my Avon ASM on signup, she said it would be fine to put an Avon book in with my Kleeneze ones, and put them down as friends and family. Some people don't want the Avon but a lot do, and I get probably half of my orders from there. And then I have two Avon territories where I have several very good customers as well that give me high orders every time. Was thinking of dropping a book at hairdressers, bank, etc but don't really have the courage to do that:o I mean - the worst thing that can happen is they say they don't want one or already get one, but still - can't get myself to do it. Someone please make me do it as I would love to have a bit more orders to pay for Christmas!....
Don't do car boots as don't have a car (do most of my work on my bike or on foot with my baby in the pram).LBM 31/01/2009: £19,422

I was thinking the same, there is a little high st near me with several hairdressers etc. I was thinking of offering the owner/manager 10% off then hopefully they may have said yes to leaving a book with them!
But it just seems too intimidating to go in!:o
Think it is def something we should both do for extra money for xmas!
Might do an introductory flyer thing to put in with the book, that way if I chicken out on speaking to them I could just leave it with a member of staff!:D
I say do it!!! Let meknow how you get on!
Well done with your totals by the way - out of interest is you kleeneze just as profitable?
We have at least 3 kleeneze/betterware agents that do my area so not an avenue I could go down!Avon C11 £751.22! C12 £722.42! C13 £651.93! C14 £1180.37:j0 -

I know exactly what you mean - lets see who dares to try it first! go on - you do it and let me know. I was also thinking of doing a special flyer to put in front of the book...
Kleeneze - its ok, I am now comparing Avon and Kleeneze and each has its pros and cons. What I like about Kleeneze is that you get a bonus every 4 weeks, depending on how much you sold in that period, its an incentive for me and especially now before Christmas will really boost my income - but then you only get 21% immediate commission. I like it and have my loyal customers that have bought off me for years but it was hard work to start with as you don't get territory - you choose where to go which means people might already buy off somebody else, but also you can go as far as you want, so good in a sense as well.:DLBM 31/01/2009: £19,422

Ladies, please, please, please, both of you go and put a book in your local hairdressers if not one already, GP Surgery, newsagents, library, mother and baby group etc. Where I live there is about 6 other Avon reps and the hairdressers already have an avon book from one of the reps and regularly put in big orders. My local Under 1s has started keeping a book for me. At all the banks in my area and supermarkets, one of the staff already does Avon, but it is worth asking.
Please, please pluck up the courage to do it. I am quite a shy person and I found the courage from somewhere to ask. It is SOOOOOOOOOOOOO worth doing it.
About the cellophane bags, you can buy them, rather than using cellophane wrapping, can't remember where I saw the post about it, but will have a look and let you have details.
While I am looking, you can try the Baskets and Hampers thread as people on there are always buying cellophane and bags for baskets and hampers.0 -

That's the only thing holding me back from leaving one in hairdressers, surgery, etc - is do you deliver to them or to the customers individual house?0

I'm having a very slow one this campaign.
on the last one I had made £120 by now. I have collected 25 books back with no orders.
I have now put them all back out with offers inside. half are spend £20 and get a free gift and the other half are spend £25 and get a free gift. (I want to see which one works best). I'm hoping this will intice people to place an order.
I haven't given a book to my existing customers yet as I am due to deliever their orders over the weekend. i'm trying to canvass my new territory.
Is anyone else struggling? I may have to pop up the 3 local hair dressers I have over the weekend to see if they are interested.

With the ones who order at the surgery, etc, they specifically ask me to deliver to the surgery or baby group. I have said happy to deliver to their home, but they have said no, it's fine.
I make sure I contact them with the amount due, when it will be delivered to me and when I will be delivering. Then two days before I am due to deliver, contact them again to make sure they remember I am coming and have money ready. Have had no problems so far.... fingers crossed.0
