thanks Melvis! Knew I had seen it, just couldn't remember whether it was on her useful guide or on here.
I have done a few posts along the same theme for getting more customers if that is any good to you.
Otherwise it is the usual, offer an incentive - free gift if they spend x amount, introduce a friend and get a free gift...etc.0 -
to be honest Lozza, was on the phone to her on a moving train, and not sure if I
heard her correctly, she went to Live The Dream and was telling me about it. Think the joke might have been, Avon should bring out their own branded version of it... not sure if they are going to. Said it was a rumour...lol
Hmm, I do need one though, will see if poundland have decided to sell one...lol.0 -
afternoon all...i have a problem. a customer ordered £69s worth last campaign. she always orders and always pays. this time she asked if she could pay in 2 installments. i said it gets complicated with changing campaigns etc but if its all within the next 2 weeks i didnt see a problem. so...1st installment of £30 was supposed to be on saturday. when i knocked i heard her little girl say 'that must me mummy come back' and her friend answered. she told me she had nipped to the shops so i said i would come back today as im doing rounds anyway.
knocked...no answer
just got a text from her saying shes sorry but shes had to go away cause of family problems and she still wants the stuff so could i hold it for her for 2 weeks? i said i will talk to the sales leader and see what she says...so instead im asking YOU...what do i do?
shes a good customer and i dont think shes making it up. i dont mind holding it for her but the only thing is that i need to order my next batch of stuff on tuesday night...and delivery will be the following monday. I would return it and re order it but im running two campaigns and her orders are from the oldest one so by then i wont be able to order it for the same price....please someone give me some suggestions.
I've recently had something similar - got a customer who always lets me know if she doesn't have the money (she only normaly spends about £5 so not a problem to hang onto it) but this time she spent £16....went to deliver, she said she hadn't got the money could I bring it next week, so I did - still hasn't got the money, hopefully will be delivering it this week (2 weeks after going last time!!!).....
and got another customer who after giving a few texts with no reply gave her a "last chance" letter lol, basically saying contact me if you want your order or it is going back - obviously worded much more politely lol, and yes she rang, still wants it but can't have it till the end of the month when she gets paid - another £16 order which would need delivering the day before I go away!!!
But they are nice ladies, and I don't mind waiting for my earnings for a bit as I'm sure they will pay when they get the money - and if not I will just return it!
judge it on your customer, I've hung onto it and not put it through on returns as can wait for the money for a bit
what I'd do if I was you, is put it through on returns - but don't actually return it, you have 36 days to send it back to avon so hopefuly you can deliver it in that time - if she still hasn't paid then just politely say that you've had to pay avon for it and you are also short on money so you will have to send it back, but that you will give her the next book. That way you've given her chance, and she will realise that you can't hang onto things indefinately!Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -

lol I imagine it would sell well if they do one - but being as they can't manage to sell resealable bags for brochures then I doubt it would be much good lol! My trolley was good value at £10, you could probably buy from them off the internet I would have thought, but I have no idea who made it lol!Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
lol, maybe Avon should read this forum, like Boots Customer Service used to read Boots Grabbit thread. LOL.
I will do a search tonight, will check out things like Argos, Lakeland, Poundland, etc. I have vouchers for argos, so that would be handy. think I can get cashback on Lakeland, so that would be handy. Hmm, might do a search on Quidco.com and see what it throws up.
Thanks Lozza, though, That was a great suggestion and one that I am definitely going to use.0 -
hi Guys,
Me and my wife have been doing avon for about 12 months and are at a fairly mostest customer base now, as per people said no more etc,
My Question is, people move houses and change there minds over the year, is it worth re posting books on old house's risking losing books whilst doing our usual campagin or do a leaflet drop stating we are the avon reps for the area and if they would like us to drop a book in future to give us a call ( a sort of friendly gesture leaflet)
idea behind this is to pick up possible more customer for the christmas period
Definately worth recanvassing every so often, people move, have kids so are at home and want the ease of having things delivered etc.....just use your previous campaigns brochures as others have said, pop them through the door and then if you don't get them back it doesn't matter as you wouldn't have been able to use them again anyway! You could always put a note in saying something like "if you don't want to see an avon brochure in the future please write your address here_______then I don't need to disturb you in the future, thanks" - that way if people really don't want one they can leave you a note!Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
Hi everyone. Well this was my first campaign, and I'm relatively pleased with it. Only put out to a grand total of maybe 12 houses (if that) and I've got 4 orders back, and 2 ladies want to either email or drop in tomorrow. but with the orders i've got from the ladies and my mum and husbands (yup i even got him to buy woop) i've got just over £100, my brother took a book to his work, but because it was last mins nothing came of it, and my other wee brother is going to take a book to school for all the 6th years and at there age (16-18) i know they'll be into the make up etc... didn't quite manage to get to my work, as I only work 2 days and boss wasn't in to get permission but seen her today and she says no probs, so will start that off with next campaign as well as hubbies. Seems to be good especially as a lot of people are now asking for a book....
I'd like to thank Elliebee for her promo stuff it worked a treat, and everyone liked the little intro that I gave them... Definately had a good time doing this camp....was really shy and nervous, but got a lil confidence back.
Can i just ask something, you know in the HT with the hair styling products, one of my customers have bought one of the products, i'm just thinking it would benefit me more to buy out of the HT than out of the brochure...is that right??? I know i'm over my mov, and therefore get the commision, but I think i'd benefit more from the 60p instead of the commission percentage. ooo that sounds confusing but eek i hope you understand.
Oooo this is like a book, so rry for the long post.....i'm enjoying reading all your posts, even though i still haven't caught up but loving it anyway
thanks for now.

Hello Tomorrow - If it's not gonna effect your commission level, you might as well
Submitting orders - if you're submitting it online, it'll be before 10pm on friday. If you're submitting by phone, I think it's 2 days before and by post it's a week, me thinks. At least 5 days anyway. Can't remember :P0 -

Oh, but keep in mind you can only order one of each demoBut I'm assuming you knew that already, but just in case

yeah it was just the one lady that wanted one so 60p is better than say 24or what ever it will be, won't really affect commision if i'm honest...i'll get hubby to do calculations he's better at it than me lol
thanks for getting back so quick
