  • Hi folks, hope everyone is well? Had a really lovely bank holiday weekend, me and oh took the girls up to birmingham and visited the national sea life center and the cadbury world factory... great fun and free chocolate, what more can you ask for on a bank holiday?!
I have set my sights on the presidents club, and was wondering how many of you lovely ladies have hit that target? do you just cover your territory or do you leave books anywhere else? I have heard mention of people leaving books with hairdressers/libraries/pubs/doctors/dentists...
I'd love to but I get a bit anxious about approaching people to ask - does anyone have any hints or tips for how to get their books out?
if you had one piece of advice for new reps, what would it be? mine would be to stay positive as it can take a while to get started but will be worth it if you put in the effort!!

    Hi Spethmeister,

Cadburys World is great isn't it!!!

Im a long way off presidents club yet, but think I will have to look outside of my teritory to make it!
My Son is starting Nursary shortly so I am hoping I might bag a few customers there!
I was also thinking about hairdresser etc but have not got round to it yet, just finding my feet with it all really!
I thought about possibly offering the owner/manager 10% discount if I could leave a brochure in there business? Not sure though?
So if anyone does anything along these lines would you like to share your tips? Please:D

  • Hi Everyone!

Quick question Hope someone could help!

I am on Mialplan O, Currently on C14, Order not due to be placed until 14/09 -
Had alot of customers order items from the clearence sale brochure - does anyone know how likely is it that these items will actually be still in stock by then? Dont want loads of disappointed customers! Had enough already with having tons of items missing from my deliveries!

    Thanks in advance

    Hi
I was going to answer your post on NM but I wasnt logged in, lol, how lazy am I??
Ive been a rep for 3 years and have been in PC 1 year. At first I just did F&F and was lucky to hit £200 in sales, but when I took on streets it helped a lot. Once my sales hit aprox £400 (I think?) I made it to PC. I now average £750 per campaign and am on target to get silver by my next camapign. I tried leaving adverts in newsagents/shop windows offering free gifts/discounts etc to get new customers and in all the ads I put in I got 1 new customer from it, lol. When I bank my money I write in big letters on the front of my paying in book 'AVON' so I know which account its for (and so the ladies at the bank see....). It worked, they asked for a book. Ive left one for the last 4 campaigns and have had no orders. Seems theres a few reps leave books there and I dont think they are that interested, though why they asked for one is beyond me .

So in my opinion Id just stick with the streets, let your customers get to know you, word gets round who you are and before you know it you'll have a loyal customer base. I cant go to my local shops without bumping into customers who like to say hello, or their children who shout hello across the street to me. It also helps once you get to know your customers if one or two of them will show the book to their friends or work place. I have 3 customers who do this and it increases my sales by £100-£150 each camp. My hubby also gets a couple of orders from work.

Ive tried gimmicks, discounts etc and have found that the best way to get the sales is just sticking to it and putting in the work. Avon sells itself, as long as you are regular with the books and orders.

Its still worth putting them out with your book drops, but maybe not if you back order any next time. Xmas sale is a nightmare, I dont know how anyone gets any decent things.

With regards to xmas - thinking ahead I know! Which campaigns are the 2wk ones? 18 & 1? Also which one is there a sale brochure with?

If it is 18 & 1 which are the 2wk campaigns that means I will have a delivery xmas eve!

Only going from memory here, but i think 1, 2, 3 and possibly 4 are the 2-week ones. The first few after Christmas anyway. Can anyone with a better memory than me (wouldn't be difficult ;)) confirm please?

I had a delivery on the 23rd last year, which was a bit hectic, but sorted it all out in the end. Actually it wasn't too bad as it was easier to persuade them to take their deliveries with a deadline to work to.

Don't know how I will fit it all in! Might just have to do regulars rather than the whole teritory!
