  • Hello!
I got my first delivery yesterday :-)

But i ordered 5 packs of C15 and i only got 1 pack which apparently is free because it is my third campaign.

Do the catalouges come seperate to the delivery, or have they just not given them me??

And also i ordered the ageless results gift set from hello tomorrow, but didnt get the free bag :-( lol. Who do i ring to try and get it???

    Thank you
  • If any of you SL's advertise in the local paper, what do you normally put to keep it short and simple (and cheap!)? I'm just about to start and want to try and get as many people signing up to start with as possible to get the fast start thingy :) Thanks
  • In fact, I've got a list of legally allowed advertising, think I'll use a christmas one to scare people :P Far too early, but if they start now, they could have money to put aside for christmas...

Hi yes you will receive free brochures with being a new rep - though I am never sure who gets how many so I never tell my new reps - that way when & if they get more delivered it just means they can get round their territory a lot quicker!

But - you should have received your brochures at the same time as your delivery - with you ordering 25 you should have received a plastic sealed pack of 20 and then 5 books in one of your boxes. You'll need to ring avon to get your missing books sent out, as you can't replace them online unfortunately!

How did the car boot go? what items sold the best???

Thanks, they went well. Saturday we didn't sell that much avon, as it was only a small carboot and it seemed like the people were just bargain hunting. Sunday & Mondays we sold a lot more avon as it was a much larger carboot, which had a bouncy castle etc for the kids so people were going for a cheap day out. Definately have other things to sell as well, we had crap at either of the tables on sheets, which kept people walking along the length of the tables, which is where we had the avon stuff. Sold shower gels, deoderants, a few perfumes, lipsticks (though I opened one of each colour to let people put a bit on their hands - meant I sold then as people could try the colours) mascaras sold. The face creams (rich moisture, extra firming which we got when they were 99p) were really popular, sold some of the large body lotions & linen sprays. Sold some mens aftershave balms - as people were walking along the table the blokes saw the sign of mens products £1 and had a look.

Definatley have things out on display, make it eye catching. For the deoderants we had the matching shower gels for the lagoon etc roll ons, so if people wanted to know what they smelled like we showed them the shower gels and they had a sniff which was popular.
    And...

which is better, avon calling cards and print outs or getting the business cards from vista print???

I personally have never used the avon official calling cards, as I think they are too pushy - they say "call to collect your order" rather than calling to collect their book. I get ones made from vistaprint, you can get free printing on the back , so we have "please place this card in with your book so that we may re-use it and help the environment" which is obviously true, but it saves our pocket too lol. We use print outs when we don't want to collect their book the next day (as it says on the postcards) which work just as well. Obviously you won't get print outs back, so in the long run it could well turn out cheaper to use the postcards.

    Hi everyone,

Haven't posted much lately, but just prepping my C14 order which is due in on Thursday and thought I'd pop by!

Total sales not bad given that some people are still away on hols and I lost a few books this campaign.

Someone was asking about PC status. I achieved associate PC status recently. I now get PC online offers alongside rep ones. For instance, I'm ordering the 'All I want for Christmas' pack at £14.95. Given that I will gift my BIL the Patrick Dempsey Aftershave for Xmas I reckon it's worth it for that alone. Should be able to sell the solutions cream, I'd already ordered and received the charm necklace so will send that back this time, and I could do with a new mascara LOL. The other bits I can add to my kit.

I also got a PC phone offer of 5 x 1L bubble baths, one each of Lavender, soft pink, sensitive, pearly peach and magnolia. Think it was for £8? but due to be charged this campaign. Someone has ordered the lavender this time for £2.50 so if the others don't sell I'll hopefully be able to send back or keep for me (although I prefer the 500ml size to fit in the bathroom cupboard LOL).

Was hoping that PC status would give me cheaper brochures, but that's only if you order 20 packs or more (if my memory serves me right). I don't need that many for my current territory (350 houses, but only canvass those that have ordered = 70 clients). Maybe when I next recanvass the whole territory - prob before Xmas - I'll get to take advantage of the cheaper books.

I've just totted up the things I would like to order and it's £56 which includes the xmas goodies, brochures (x40), £8.50 for the bubble bath, and bags but all the rest on treats for me! I really need some more Magix (love it) and it's on offer 2 for £10, have ordered the butterfly necklace from HT, also need the 4in1 pedicure, plus have ordered the 5 for £5 as I think it's a bargain - strangely none of my customers picked up on that.

Will still hopefully make around £50 this campaign which isn't too bad.

I read somewhere that Avon are producing their own plastic bags to use when canvassing - excellent - got back some really tatty, soggy ones today, so will wait to order the official ones next time!

Lol I've seen a piccy of the new bags - I wouldn't bother, they look really thin - and they aren't re-sealable!!!!!! How stupid is that!!!!

I'll stick with buying mine from ebay, they are really nice and strong and last a while :)

i saw a pic for the first time yesterday of the new bags and they look like mini versions of the avon carrier bags.i too was disappointed that they won't be resealable.also you'd only want to give them to trustworthy customers cos ppl would definately nick them.i'm sticking with my £ shop bags
