I spend around 20hrs per campaign, I think???
Getting the books bagged up ready probably takes the longest!
My deliveries take around 3hrs to sort & I can usually deliver them all within 6hrs but thats split over 3 days!
Im a full time mom to 3, inc 2 toddlers so thankfully I can be flexible!
I have over 70 customers so far & family/friends make up about £100
So far so good just hope it continues!
Have you decided to do it now then?

Hi there
Sorry to butt in here but does anyone have any contact details for Summer-Caitlin? She is my online Avon rep but since mailing me to tell me that my order had arrived and she was running a few days late, I haven't heard from her.
I paid her as usual via paypal but it's been 10 days now and no order and no contact so I wondered if anyone had a mobile number or anything and could text her on my behalf?
I am worried about her as much as anything. Feel free to p.m. me if you need to.

You could always start small, doing family/friends, work collegues, school moms, toddler group etc, If you dont have time to do a large territory!
Best to start now so you can get into a routine before christmas!
Good luck if you decide to go for it!!!:)Avon C11 £751.22! C12 £722.42! C13 £651.93! C14 £1180.37:j0 -
Hi Everyone
Just wondering if you can give me a bit of advice.
I used to be an Avon rep and when I gave up I still had an outstanding balance (Including their huge fee's it's now around £100), I've moved house a few times since and not heard anything and really just forgot about it.
But have recently started thinking I would like to take it up again, does anyone know if they would allow me to if I paid the outstanding or would I be 'banned'??
Don't really have the £100 to spend just to see!!
Thanks Sarah0 -
need a bit of help re books.been doing this for 6 months now and i use 2 diff books as most of you do.now i've been given loadsa more houses ( about 120ish i think) and i managed to get hold of the last campaign( 13) so i've done those 'new' houses with that.now comes the tricky bit.i have x amount of customers in that area who are on the back book and the prob is i've been unable to get hold of anymore of my present book)- i was advised to keep everybody on the same one ( the next one being C15)-and i can re-order them online.but i can't see how i'd be saving money by buying the one book.also it's getting confusing knowing just how many to order-i've been told 6 more packs of C15 ( i have 5 already).order goes in on Tuesday nite so getting desperate0

What I did when I got new territory but didn't have enough books was just gradually make my way round it, so bought a fewmore books the following camp, and then when they were the "old" ones used them on my "new" territory - if that makes sense lol. There's no point trying to put them all onto the new book as it will just cost you....just pace yourself, hard I know when you're itching to do a new patch of houses, but in the long run it will be much better for yourself!Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -

if they realise that you have done it before then chances are they would probably refuse you an account, that is about the only reason avon refuse accounts really, as obviously last time you left owing money....so they wouldn't want to take the risk again this time! If you applied online through the official website, and so got the asm coming to sign you up, explain to her and she will be have more luck in getting it sorted for you, as she would be able to get a definite answer more quickly than a sl would.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -

Hi sorry, she is normally on here fairly often, but now that you mention it haven't seen her on here for a while....maybe family problem or she caught have caught swine flu I suppose? I'm sure she's fine, and that as soon as possible she'll send your order out, as she seems lovely and definately not the type to run of with your money lol!Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
Hi everyone I have someone coming to the house on Monday to sign me as my rep has given up after many years. A young girl took it on but appears to have given up after 2 books. I had considered it before my rep retired but I was just starting a new job and knew I couldn't give it the time as I have 3 kids who do lots of activities. However my circumstances have changed and I am now no longer working.
Going through the posts to find out as much as I can to see if it will be worth my while. I have a private pension and will therefore be taxed.
can someone please tell me the cost of the books and bags etc. I imagine I will have quite a few of her old customers as she had a big area as well as a lot of my friends. I live in a rural location and can't see having one half on one and the other on another brochure working out for me. It is honestly worth doing, as you submit all your orders as just one order (with current & back-ordered products) so there isn't any extra work, just need to keep a note of who has which book!well not until start of next years brochures when I get into swing of things.Am I right in thinking that I will fill in a tax return on line and that I can deduct cost of petrol books/bags from my comission and pay tax on earnings minus these deductions.
What other things could I claim for . Anything to do with your avon business - paper, ink, any free gifts you give people, samples, even pens etc....the list goes on lol! if you register as self-employed over the phone they will probably ask if you would like details of local free courses that help you filling in the forms....they sound great....but are only done during the week so I haven't been on one due to work!
Bit of a pest too as I going on holiday in October school holidays. How does it work with delivery if I place an order for 2 brochures at a time. Do I get 1st brochure as normal and second week after that brochure should have been ordered. if you place the order for both brochures at the same time (the current & the previous) then they will arrive at the same day on your usual delivery day....you can submit your order early and it doesn't affect your delivery day!
Do you get labels printed to put on books or do you all just write your details down. I started out writing my name & number on the forms...but now I print them off and do it that way,...but you can get free personalised stamps from vistaprint (just pay for p&p) so you could get your name & number & just stamp your forms with itAlthough I will prob know of most of the regular customers would you knock on the doors and hand books over or pop through letter box with a little note explaining why I am now doing Avon.
My Mum did Avon for years when I was little and she always put a little sample in with regular orders. Do you still do that and how effective is the spend £15 get a free gift .
Thanks for any replies.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -

cheers.the only prob i have is that i only have 25 books to give out next time and as i give a book to the customer with their order at the minute i'm looking at not enough books to even do that.collecting the last lot of books tomorrow t-time and i aven't a clue how many orders i might get.would've been easier for me if i could've got hold of C14 ( the latest book) then i'd be ok0
