Kellyhill your sales are fantastic!! I think I need to order more brochures so I can get round my territory nearly in one go.

    Thanks Lyndsey!

I cover 16 streets & have over 500 homes - never counted them all otherwise it might seem too daunting!

Only have such a large teritory because when I signed up I exceeded my credit limit so the AM signed my husband up too, so I cover both!

I spend about £20 on brochures & run a free gift for over £15.

Manage to cover them in 2-3 drops but as I am just starting out I am trying to cover each house every time which is hard! Having them on different campaigns saves money too!

Its going good, although I've had a few unwelcome phonecalls & texts?! Has anyone else suffered this?

I was considering becoming a SL but think I wouldnt be able to cover all my teritory then.

I wouldn't complain about the birthday gift, I didn't get anything, not even a card or happy birthday email from them!!! On the sl forum I go on, a few people on there have received these gifts, and yet others who have done it for years and years have never even had a card and yet others have....very bizarre!!!

It's a new thing, Lozza. Everyone will get it now.

Hi, Think that is only possible when you are a direct customer, When you are an Avon rep you buy the items at a discounted price?
Someone else may have more info...

Avon if well worth doing, I have found the more you put in the more you get out of it!

Hi everyone I have someone coming to the house on Monday to sign me as my rep has given up after many years. A young girl took it on but appears to have given up after 2 books. I had considered it before my rep retired but I was just starting a new job and knew I couldn't give it the time as I have 3 kids who do lots of activities. However my circumstances have changed and I am now no longer working.
Going through the posts to find out as much as I can to see if it will be worth my while. I have a private pension and will therefore be taxed.
can someone please tell me the cost of the books and bags etc. I imagine I will have quite a few of her old customers as she had a big area as well as a lot of my friends. I live in a rural location and can't see having one half on one and the other on another brochure working out for me. well not until start of next years brochures when I get into swing of things.Am I right in thinking that I will fill in a tax return on line and that I can deduct cost of petrol books/bags from my comission and pay tax on earnings minus these deductions.
What other things could I claim for .
Bit of a pest too as I going on holiday in October school holidays. How does it work with delivery if I place an order for 2 brochures at a time. Do I get 1st brochure as normal and second week after that brochure should have been ordered.
Do you get labels printed to put on books or do you all just write your details down. Although I will prob know of most of the regular customers would you knock on the doors and hand books over or pop through letter box with a little note explaining why I am now doing Avon.
My Mum did Avon for years when I was little and she always put a little sample in with regular orders. Do you still do that and how effective is the spend £15 get a free gift .
    Thanks for any replies.
I have never met a calorie yet I didn't like!!

    Hi dmg1977,

I spend around 20hrs per campaign, I think???
Getting the books bagged up ready probably takes the longest!
My deliveries take around 3hrs to sort & I can usually deliver them all within 6hrs but thats split over 3 days!
Im a full time mom to 3, inc 2 toddlers so thankfully I can be flexible!

I have over 70 customers so far & family/friends make up about £100

So far so good just hope it continues!

Have you decided to do it now then?

well...today i passed a few houses in my territory and spotted a brochure...'ooh' i thought someones eager, im not collecting till wed...picked it up, noted the lack of sandwich bag and then noticed that it was SOMEONE ELSES BOOK! arrrrgggghhhh

noone was home so i took her details and text her on the way home, i panicked and thought...i only started this street last campaign after a woman asked me to cover that road so maybe she asked someone else too arrrggghhh.

i then text 2 of the customers that have bought from me and explained there was a possible clash of avon ladies dun dun duuuun and to basically bear with us till we find out whos road it is and to make sure they put the right books out etc (or they could politely tell the 'other woman' that you already have an amazing rep ;) )

anyway, the 'other woman' called me back and it turns out shes a lovely woman of presidents club status (oo-er) and that was ONE woman who is her loyal customer who has moved there etc etc. so panic over phew:o
she also said she can help by giving me left over books etc and was absolutely lovely...so lovely that i took back the comment to my partner about peeing all over my houses to mark my turf! lol

also...i got a reply from a customer saying 'the other agent left a book with our neighbour, not us, it was lipgloss at dawn but my pink sparkle beat her peach crush. be gone i told her, we've got an outstanding rep who we think is great, she even took an iou for 50p from my 1st order. would you do that? i think not mrs! and with that she took her waterproof mascara and left. consider us loyal 2 u no matter how many more come knocking':D

it made me smile. what a great customer i have! my kinda gal. freebies for her me thinks lol x
