Hey I took the plunge and signed up as a sales leader this week (eek!!) and am just looking for any tips from you more experienced people, what to avoid etc etc.
I have one friend who has signed up and I have 2 more leads. I have an estate to canvass for a new rep too so hopefully that will be fruitful in C13. Have you got any tips for getting new reps? As I need 5 in the first 3 campaigns, but I'm not sure how I'm going to get up to that number...should I rely on canvassing?

As most of my friends are a bit erm..lazy...so don't want to do this sort of thing. They also get it confused with door to door sales people and think it's degrading etc.
Anyhow, thanks in advance!

I was signed up by a lady canvassing outside Waitrose. You may want to try something like that.

Hayley - would definately give a book to the customer and cut out the 'middleman' as it were.

Thank you Melvis....this forum is great. been reading for a few days and really like it and the people seem great help.

When you take the orders to their homes....do you give them a new book or do you just inform them that the new book will be in the hairdressers?

Hayley

I'd give them the new book there and then. If they live close enough tell them you'll collect the book if not then ask them to text/email their orders to you then you only have to visit them once every 3 weeks, I have a few customers like this xx

You may regret saying that LOL....even though I have been doing Avon since C5 I have so many questions roaming around in my head but I dont like to bug people.

I havent been doing too bad but need to get more of a routine to fit around me and my 16month old Son who I stay home with. I am looking to go into SL at some point but need to get my head around Avon first .
I dont think there is alot of information on SL on the Avon website but cant seem to find anymore ANYWHERE

I saw quite a few pages back somebody talking about a tips sheet and something else...do you know who had it or where I can get it - if somebody could please send it to me h.gilbert.1984@hotmail.com that would be great.

Where are you all from BTW...I am in Dereham, Norfolk but on all of the forums I have been on I have only found one that is about half an hour drive away from me...wonder if there is many more near me.

ONE LAST THINK (told you that you would regret it LOL) My ASM Emails me every month to remind me of the order dead line and lets me know that there is a meet/chat but I dont know if it is worth going to as it is about an hour away. Even though he says that it is fine taking my little boy...it may be hard work trying to keep him entertained whilst Im trying to talk :rotfl:The meet is in Soham, Norfolk.

Off out in a bit...speak later.

Hi everyone,

I offered an incentive in C11 for customers to receive a free gift with their order of £15 or more. I did really well with this and as I'd bought the 10 for £10 offer last campaign it didn't really cost me very much in free gifts.

HOWEVER, one customer ordered the fit flops in size m/l and as she's a size 8 they didn't fit but she kept the free gift. Cheeky or what! She's a neighbour and I'd let her try them on before paying me - oh well, only gave her a lipgloss I'd paid £1 for, but still very cheeky - I'd never do that!!

Hayley - I've emailed you ;)

Coxy - I'd be really cheeky and mention in passing that you pay for your own free gifts. She probably thinks Avon pay, and she'll feel really guilty .......but then, I'm just evil :D

Hi
This must be the longest thread on the forum.
I have been reading through a lot of the posts and it seesm to be really important who you sign up with.
I want to be a sales leader as soon as possible .
How would I find out who might be the best in my area to sign up with ?
Thanks
