my childminder told me she used to buy a footspray from Avon, it was refreshing, cooling and nice on the feet... she couldn't find it in C12, but I told here whatever she used to buy might have been discontinued and rebranded. I have ordered from C11, the teatree and mint foot spray as I think she will like this.
Does anyone have any ideas on what product she used to use?
I would say it is the same one it just has a new scent added.
they do that every so often same ingredient just change the smell.Life is what you make it;)0 -
hi girls, total newbie here :hello:
I have a meeting with a sales leader today about signing up.
Just wondered what sort of things I should be checking with them before commiting?
They are saying it is free to try and they provide free cats for your 1st 2 campaigns.
I thought you had to pay £15 (taken out of your 1st 2 orders) and that that paid for your 1st set of cats? did I misunderstand?(and if that is right, how many cats does that give you? would I still need to buy more?)
They are also stating all money is 'cash in hand'- now maybe I just misunderstand the phrase but this implies unofficial off the books kind of payment to me and obviously I understand that this is self employed and I need to do my own tax returns etc-just want to make sure I have a supportive upline who tells things as they actually are.
I contacted them through an advert in the paper rather than going direct through the Avon website.
Thanks for any help you can offer0 -
Hi P-F, and welcome to the madhouse
I'll leave your question re cats. etc to those much better qualified to answer, but I would say that I'd be wary of going down the 'cash in hand' route as the whole thing is much to official and traceable! There are, however lots of perfectly legitimate expenses
Give it a go - it's great fun! There is lots of support and advice on here and the initial outlay is quite low, so you haven't got much to lose.
Good luck - let us know how you get on 'Better to ask a silly question than to make a silly mistake' Elliebee's Mum

I have NO orders this camp - i have been so ill i havent made it out of the house.
Im still gonna make MOV though as there is quite a bit i want like the reduced hair brushes etc and some other goodies to put away for xmas but i feel really disheartened this time round. Probably just the illness and as soon as i feel better i'll get my sales back up again.
Decided to give becoming a sales leader a miss as i feel i have to much on my plate already.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T

Keep your chin up Princesswoo - it'll be better next time when you're well again.
Does anyone have a system for delivering their cats and delivering orders? Like different set days for the different streets?
At the moment I'm all over the place - some people are on different cats even though they live in the same street (!!!) - I also do my delivering of orders on the same day and as my customers grow I can see this getting very stressful having to do it all in one evening.
I just can't seem to get my head around getting a system in place.
What does everyone else do?0 -

They are saying it is free to try and they provide free cats for your 1st 2 campaigns. I always say that it is free to try - as if you try it and don't get many orders so therefore never place an order - you don't owe anything. But, if you realise that it works for you (ie you get orders!) then once you have placed the order it you will be charged two lots of £7.50. Because it isn't paid up front that is why it is said as "free to try".
I thought you had to pay £15 (taken out of your 1st 2 orders) and that that paid for your 1st set of cats? You will be provided for catalogues for your first 2 campaigns, though when placing your first order you will need to order books for your third campaign. did I misunderstand?(and if that is right, how many cats does that give you? would I still need to buy more?) Avon only refunds sales leaders for 20 catalogues for your first campaign, and 20 catalogues for your second campaign - so that is the minimum you will be provided with. However, many sales leaders will normally provide you with more than that as it is very difficult to get many orders with only 20 books! But, if they give you more it is at their own cost so you cannot expect to get this many.

As for it being "cash in hand" - I signed a lady up with the area manager (she is employed by avon) and the lady asked if it would affect her full time job, the area manager told her no as it is cash in hand. I was furious, as it does imply, as you quite rightly said, that therefore isn't taxable. It is something you should declare to the tax man, as you are self employed. But, if you already work it won't affect your job (I work full-time and my tax code hasn't changed). I would be wary of signing up with them as they sound as if they might not be completely honest with you - perhaps if you ask them directly and they still say no you don't need to declare it, then you should see about signing up with someone else.
However - I would still say sign up with a sales leader. I applied through the official website, and so my upline is the area manager. This means I have very little help (though not all area managers are the same, I just happen to have a crap one lol) as she has targets etc to meet so once they have signed you up they don't have the incentive to keep you. Sales leaders earn a percentage of their teams sales - so therefore we have much more reason to help you! Perhaps look about and see if there is someone else local to you, there are lots of sales leaders about! hth xAvon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -

What does everyone else do?
I wish i could get some sort of system too, but everytime i try my customers go and mess it up.
If i dont get the vast majority of my cats back when collecting, i cant redeliver till i have been back another day to get them. I say i loose 50%or more of my cats on each delivery,
I try to deliver orders and cats on monday , then re collect on thursday, going back out friday to collect stray cats. I dont do weekends it's to hard trying to catch people in. Then repeat again on my next area the following week as i have a huge territory. But at the same time im doing 2 areas on 2 different cats (does that make sense) i do confuse myself sometimes.
Then it gets confusing when customers place orders from different areas and i then deliver all the orders at the same time as it means i have cats all over the place and have to remember who has had one so that when i deliver to that area properly i dont give then another one.
Gonna be great fun now that we cant use camp 11 cats again if the antler glam box's go out of stock. Its hard enough getting the orders in the 1st place without having to apologise to customers that the 1 item they ordered is no longer available.
Its also easier when it comes to order forms if collection is always on the same day then i arent wasting order forms and my time filling more in with a different date. I now have zip lock bags and i just put a little printed note in saying please leave out for collection on THURSDAY, then all i have to fill in on the order form is my details (using my free vista print stamp) and the order delivery date.
DF really wanted to help this camp with delivering cats etc with me being ill but i barely manage my own system sometimes let alone trying to explain it to him.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T

She said it was an old one, so the serum may have replaced it.
I will order it and see if she likes it.
