I think sun cream will be a big seller for me - its so hot here!

I was just wondering what the smart woman mini booklets were, they were mentioned a few posts up *points up*?

Also I havent placed my first order yet so have no idea how well the system works - are there many flaws with the ordering system? I've had a look around the site to try and get to grips with it and I think I'll be fine - but what is it like to get free gifts etc.. does it always work?

    Thanks in advance :)

Was that the purple bag??? If so, did you spend the amount required on make-up on the relevant pages?

If you did then I'm not sure why it isn't showing on your invoice. You will find sometimes that items are missing - but they normally still appear on your invoice!

No it wasnt was a green one - oh well hopefully I'll get it thi time through online offers !

Oooh ive just started doing avon again. i have done it before for about 2 years but that was like 4 years ago. I just moved to a new area so i thought it would be a good way of getting out and about.

I didnt have any one come and see me it was all done over the phone. Then my sales leader sent me out a pack with info and brochures in it.

So im a little lost as to what star points are, incentives for sales and what not but im sure i'll figure it out in time.

I got my campaign 9 brochures on friday and had to place my order on monday, didnt manage to get any brochures out to my territory but managed to get £80 worth of orders from friends and family.

I delivered my C9 brochures on tuesday to my street - i ininitally only got 25 houses so i emailed my sales leader and requested a bigger area as it wasnt keeping me busy enough. So she has given me another 25 houses.

I offered a free gift with all orders placed over £15 (will probably be a 99p item from the brochure) 1 lady i delivered to said she got her's elsewhere, so i asked if she ever got any free gifts or samples and she said no. So i pointed out what i was offering when you placed an order and she then happily took the book out of my hand. I dont know if she'll place an order or just show whoever she buys it from what im offering and try and get her to match it, but i live in hope that its 1 more customer for me.

I pick my brochures up tomorrow and im already itching to see if i have any orders yet.

I'll leave it a week and hand out C10.

Im gona do a few campaigns then get some leaflets out for parties once people start recognising me.

My sales leader gave me some good advice about doing under 15 make over birthday parties. I love the idea but would i need some sort of insurance in case any of the party girls has a reaction or something and then tries to sue me.

My order arrives on friday and im itching for it to get here, its like xmas.

WOW - one of my neighbours has just dropped of her brochure with a £68 order in it. Im gobsmacked. My fiancee has just had to pick me up of the floor. She didnt want to leave it on her doorstep for me to collect it.

OMG this is an absolute NO-NO!!!!! Your sales leader would actually get struck off if it were discovered. It is the only real major requirement of signing a rep up that the initial sign-up has to be in person, especially as we have to physically see the ID and get an original signature on the representative agreement. I'm totally gobsmacked!

Until Avon receive the signed agreement, your account won't be set-up and any orders you submit will be held. You cannot aimply post the green contract back to the SL either, it's just not allowed.

Without wishing to get your SL into trouble, this should be reported to Avon as they are not carrying out the duties and obligations required of them.

Oh dear, i dont want to get her in trouble she's been really helpful. Always answers her phone and emails in super quick time.

She did get me to post my green form back and my account is up and running.

All my brochures and info arrived by next day courier ready for me to get started.

They are completely breaking the terms of the Sales Leader agreement and business guide. I just can't believe someone is willing to risk their entire business by doing sign-ups this way.

It is incredibly tempting as I have 2 people wishing to sign up that live 250 miles from me but have to wait until I see them.

There aren't many major rules but that is the biggie!

Lol I'm so surprised someone has done that!!!!

Having said that - well done on your orders, I'd be gobsmacked too I've never had one order come to that much!!!

Good news - got hold of ASM and got OH territory sorted :D it is a little rough, but I have a feeling we may get quite a few customers! Here's hoping. Also, my business pack arrived today, so once I have done my ironing I will have a good read. ASM will be giving me some territory to pop cards through soon so that's good news to!

Only bad news is the lady that we signed up on Friday has text saying she has taken the books, got rubbish orders so far, has taken them again and that if they are no better she is giving up! Some how I had the feeling she would all along, she just seemed the type somehow. Text back (shes at work) saying some people will wait till the 2nd book to order as they want to see your reliable. That my first order was mostly from family & the people they knew. And that its worth giving it a little longer as once people trust you they will order.

Would that be the kind of advice you would give? I didn't want to come across patronising saying "you haven't given it long enough" or that "she hasn't tried hard enough" as that would put her off even more! Just wanted to give her a little encouragement!
Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A

    Hey girls,

Don't post much but always have a lurk..

Can someone help me? When my last order was delivered it was missing one bo, so the next day I reordered the items that were missing. Then 2 days later a box turned up with the missing items and then a few days later ANOTHER box turned up. I am just doing my returns but I don't know what code to use as the ones I am sending back haven't been charged to me.

    any advice ladies?
    Thank yoooou! :-)

    Anyone have any ideas?? :T
