Had to work in Manchester today so didn't get home until nearly 8pm!!! Now I am behind on my delivering and collecting!! Have to put my order in a week and hardly done ANY deliveries, what I have done has been pants!! I am off work on Sunday, my only day off so hope to actually get something done then!! Need to collect tomorrow then really push my deliveries, can't seem to get motivated this week, got another cold - London must do this to me, and still feel knackered! I need motivation this week!! Anyone else feeling disheartened? Think it's cos I STILL haven't got my C11's that were missing, peed me right off!! Will ring them again day before order day, not that they are much help, or speak to my ASM...

I read in a HT cat that now it's summer organising a BBQ/party. As it's my estate, all the houses are about a minute or so walk from mine, but don't feel I have been doing it long enough yet, maybe next year, or a Christmas party, but just to put it out there to you veterans or peopel that know their customers a bit better than mine - plus I haven't got to grips with Avon yet and my house is still over run with cats and stuff!!

My SL gave me a few suggestions on the under 15 birthday parties.

She suggested i charge £5 - £8 a head (dependant on freebies given in the take home party bags) and do either a mini make over, facial or a mini manicure for each guest plus a few little freebies.

Say a minimum of 6 people including the birthday girl, at £8 a head that £48. Spend £24 on little items for bags and you've bagged yourself £24 for a max of 2 hours work. Plus any orders placed by mum's etc. I guess all the goodies dont all have to be avon.

Cheap little items in the clearance etc. I'm still trying to work out what would be best as these are young people were talking about.

The party girl gets 2 treatments and a pamper party bag.

Of course when mum rings up to book a party you send her out some pre made invites that you do yourself as well as the lastest brochure. Then hopefully she will have placed an order ready for you to collect when you do the party.

A few things to remember is cross contamination.
If your using your products on dozens of kids you wouldnt want them all to be using the same mascara brush, so ive looked on ebay and you can get disposable mascara brushes. About £4 for 25 (even cheaper if your willing to wait for them from china £10 for 100). You can also get disposable eyeshadow applicators but so far ive only found them in america so still trying for uk.
As for blusher etc, as long as you clean your brushes very regularly there shouldnt be a problem. Its mainly the eyes that are.

You'll also need to take the basics like a few clean flannels or hand towels, cotton buds, tissues etc. You know what girls are like for wiping it of and wanting it put back on again.

I'm still working on the costings to see how viable it is but when i have a better idea i'll post more details.

    Hi everyone

Currently doing 3 jobs and it's knackering especially being pregnant. Training to be a childminder ready for when baby is here, still running my web marketing business plus doing Avon plus yesterday I was running a training course on marketing so have fallen behind a day. Aaargh am sure this cannot be good. On the plus side had lots of responses to my ad so lots of calls and potential signups to book in, yippee!

Well I went to collect orders last night and did much better, my total is sitting at £218 just now! However, this campaign still isn't going as well as my first two, so I think I will be lucky to hit my first campaigns total. I still have a lot of delivering to do and depending on sales I may try to cover some of my new territory. I do have work mates still to get from, but most of my regulars have put in their order and they aren't anywhere near what they were last campaign. Lyndsey I am feeling a bit demotivated myself, what with my territory problems and lack of orders, I am just hoping this might be a slow period, maybe before the summer people spend less as they are trying to pay off their holiday:rotfl:

Have any of you ever had people order then next time decide they don't want cats anymore? I had 2 customers do that yesterday and was very surprised.

charliedavis - You must be knackered, I couldn't imagine doing all that AND being pregnant, you need to take it easy girl!

I find that when doing avon, the first time you hand out your brochures you get a lot of orders.
I put this down to people not having it for a while - if ever, and there so excited to order some new stuff for themselves, the same happens the next campaign but when it gets to my 3rd campaign, my orders have always dipped a lot, and its another campaign or so before people start buying again.

It is that time of the year where people are going on holiday, thinking about next years school uniforms for the kids (we've just had to order and pay for ours) and with the nice weather people are out enjoying it instead of being snuggled up in front of the fire flicking through the an avon book.

I'm still getting my head around the brochures they used to be so easy to flick through and find your favourite products and all the offers were easy to spot, but both me and my mum are having trouble. Ive looked through it a dozen times and each time i look i find something new that i hadnt spotted before.

So ive decided to put an A5 sheet in each brochure with ''my top 10 offers'' so that my customers are pointed straight to them. I'm not trying to make my customers feel stupid, but if they havent got much time to flick through over and over like me, a point in the right direction might just make them buy 1 or 2 items. Anything is worth a try.

I'm just about to go and collect my brochures and redeliver to more houses. Im doing really well so far just from family. C-9 £178 so far so im more than happy.

I have 50 houses to deliver to, but i have been well informed that there is no avon rep where i live. So if i get round all my houses in time, i might just venture along the ajoining streets and pop a few more through some letter boxes and see what happens.

I'm also gonna drop a few off with the ladies in the local shops, as where we live is limited and there is nowhere to buy toiletries and cosmetics, so you never know.

Make sure you get this road allocated to you first then as for all you know, a new rep may be signing up and getting that road allocated to her today only to canvass it and find that it's already being covered unofficially. It's SO demoralising for a new rep to find themselves in that situation and wandering reps is one of my bugbears.

    Hi everyone,

Just on to say that C10 isn't going particularly well for me either! I'm going out today to drop off 36 C10's to regular customers, plus 65 C9's to houses I'm recanvassing. It's going to be hard work today cos the children's school is shut for a polling station and they will have to come with me. Looks like I'm buying a treat for them later !

I have two targets at the moment - Associate Presidents Club status which I have to achieve £825 over the next two campaigns to qualify for. Also my targets sales of £1007 from Avon for C10/11/12. Both seem fairly unrealistic at the moment. Just wondering if it's worth stressing myself out for PC - what will be the benefits of Associate status? Cheaper cats? Is there anything else I would qualify for as Associate status?

Will definitely do a flyer for C11 saying 'free gift with every order over £10' and will be buying the 10 for £10 in C10 to stock up for this (plus have some bits and pieces already in my Avon cupboard). Also have prize draws every now and then, so thinking of putting some things together ie. nail polish/4in1 buffer/cuticle balm plus another prize for feet related things. This will be for C12 - my anniversary campaign! Would love to hit those targets, and I do love a challenge, but also working another job so will have to see if I can do it.

Good luck with your sales everyone.

I really need to get some more cats delivered!!! Mind you, I have noticed that I actually don't have that many houses now. Think I will give it this and next camp then ask for more. Going to go and post my return, easiest way I think, then next week chase up these bloody cats!! I will have to start doing C11 in about 10 days, am panicking about it already, like to have everything organised (In my own special way!)
