• Congratulations panambi, hope you are having a well earned rest, I did wonder where you had gone.

lozza, I bought the magix and totally love it, it makes my skin near flawless, even with the ideal shade foundation which although isn't as dark as I would like, I am getting used to the consistency. I am using the shimmer brick, which I also love, beautiful shade as I am not one to use blush . Recently bought the black pearl mascara which I also love, the little bits of glitter are really nice and with a few coats can make your eyes look very dramatic. I have bought the pedi peel pads but haven't used them yet, am looking forward to getting the chance to do so.

I have a predicament, remember I said a rep tried to deliver a catalogue through my door? Well she obviously put one in my neigbours door at the same time and I found the catalogue left on the doorstep today for her to collect. I glanced at the orderform to get the girls name, but was so annoyed to find an order!!! I delivered to my neighbour last campaign and was going to put a catalogue through her door tomorrow. I was so angry I called my SL and told her the reps name and that I really wasn't sure what to do. What do you guys think I should do? I don't think she should get the order, she is my potential customer and this is my territory. The rep is supposed to pick up the cat tomorrow afternoon so I have taken the book in and it's sitting here. I am unsure what to do, I don't want to give her the order as I don't particularly want this girl to have to keep coming on my turf, I don't want customers to get confused, nor do I want the potential of more orders for her, she has enough of a territory as it is!!!
It's not even the order amount that bothers me, it's £15.00, it's more the fact that she has honed in on my territory. I find it strange that all of a sudden this area is now getting Avon catalogues when we haven't had in years, even my customers have said that and now, out of the blue, she comes in and starts delivering cats, it's not on!!! So what would you do, take the order and keep it for yourself or leave it for her? If I leave it for her, it means every three weeks she will be in this area, I don't like that at all, what if she decides to drop more cats further down the road on the off chance I haven't delivered yet?

HELP!!!

Just wondered how many Avon products you all use? And if there are any that you have tried, hated and steer well clear of now!!!

I've been using their eye gel, radiance pm cream, radiance am/pm face wash, shower gels, bubble bath, shampoo, eyeshadow, 24k gold nail varnish, pillow spray, pedi peel pads......I think that is about it so far lol! As I run out of things, I will probably get them from Avon when they are on offer to save myself some money. So far, there hasn't been anything that I haven't liked!

I use loads actually

Shower gel Winter wonderland ( love the smell )
kids use the blueberry foam and the strawberry wash
and the shampoo watermelon and kiwi.

I use the teatree naturals 2-1 shampoo and conditioner

Use all the linen sprays
different ones in different rooms :)
Make up wise
magix but don't like it under foundation as I find it too flakey
ideal shade pressed powder
spectralash mascara
sandy beach quad eyeshadows
lip liner is rich ginger
Lipstick is amethyst gold
liner ( max factor) can't wear any other one
top liner gold sleek lines arabian glow.

Perfumes
tahiti holiday
little white dress
little black dress
make me smile
50's glam ( I love )
60's mod ( don't like )
brazilian beat

Creams
Anew day & night
and the Anew lift mask ;)

yes I am hooked :rotfl:

me personally I would keep the order and speak to your neighbour and explain, that this girl is not the rep for the area, you are, you have taken the order and will be delivering it to her "whatever date" also tell your neighbour that you are speaking to the area manager just now to try and stop the girl.
I would also do some more leg work tomorrow and check out her area and see if she has muscled in on any more orders.
If you take an order leave her a note with the empty book saying rep already in this area have ordered with my usual rep.
She should soon get the message and if the area team are the ones in the wrong then let them deal with it.
Good luck hun xxx

Just signed up to Avon and have been told there are no streets for me. I haven't seen anything Avon for the 3 months I've lived here.
I live 3 hours away from my family, so I'm starting to worry that I'm not going to get any orders.
Any Ideas?

how about knocking peoples doors introducting yourself as an avon lady and ask them : When was the last time you saw an avon book? would you like a copy?

i think thats should be okay...i mean there are alot of reps (i have to admit including me) that once they have covered their roads initially they only stick to the customers that are interested anddont go back to the other houses.
if i dont get my brochure back for example after 3 attemps using the calling cards then i wont serve that house anymore.

so maybe thats why you havent seen a book lately?

also put a poster up in local shops, ask local hairdressers, offices,gp surgeries, dentists, nurseries, schools, post offices, banks...etc if they would like a brochure for there customers/staff

every little helps

panambi - congrats

Lozza - i use way way too many avon products to list :rotfl: I have to admit to still having some rimmel make up and boots face wash im using up because i bought them before i was a rep in bulk using a boots gift voucher :o But whenever i can now i use avon...

well i forced myself out today to deliver 85 brochures with my mum in tow to help me.. covered some bits of my territory i never covered before aswell so heres hoping as only have 5 days left of C9 and havent got ANY orders yet as didnt put any books out till now with everything thats gone on :o:o:rotfl:

Thanks for all the advice over the recharge i will be refusing to pay the £11.08... not MY problem avon cant be organised and efficient enough to process all the items in one box at the same time...or keep accurate records of it..

Has anyone else had anyone floggin Victoria Jackson make up on their territory??? A woman called at my mums house last week (part of my territory) and gave her a huge goodie bag with loads of make up for FREE.... when mum questioned it she said as they are introducing it on QVC apparently - wont be selling door to door (luckily) but want to get word out... mum said she called at most houses in her close and the woman told her she'd be in the area for few days giving out the goodie bags to as many people as possible. :( Mum took one off her so she could show me... and i have to say its really impressive - expensive looking packaging and a huge amount of stuff... all full size products of lipsticks, eyeliners, eyeshadow compacts and a blusher brush... no way i could compete with that! Specially not giving it away free!!! Just hope she hasnt poached too many of my customers....

Hi guys,

Not been on here for a while but just wanted to say my little baby girl was born yesterday, on her due date, at 3.11pm weighing 9lb 5oz!!! I'm so proud and happy - but it will take me a while to get back into my routine!

Aaah! CONGRATULATIONS! :happylove

Has she a name yet? You have a good excuse for not being around for a bit - you've obviously had much more important things on your mind :p

My ASM told me to knock on doors and ask if they've seen a catalogue lately. If not leave one with them if they want one. I'm a bit shy, so not looking forward to that.

Oh well what's the worst they can do!!

I know that a lot of people go down the 'door knocking' route, but I have to say that I found it better to simply put a brochure through with a tick box to mark if they don't want a brochure in future. When I started a did knock on a few doors, some of which said 'no'. However when I later left books anyway, I got orders from some of those same houses. I think people will often say no as a knee jerk reaction when they are put on the spot, but may be interested if left to browse in their own time.

Whether you are a 'knocker' or a 'stuffer' is really personal choice - I just stuff 'em through letterboxes and run :D

Hi guys, I'm new here and relatively new to avon (on my 3rd camp now) and I'm just venturing out into the world of territories.

Now with the whole knocking or stuffing thing, you see, it's all flats round me so I felt I had to ring buzzers to ask people if they wanted a book. Otherwise I'd be putting maybe 5 books through one door and that seems crazy to me.

Has anyone got any tips for a territory which is purely flats? Thanks in advance guys

hi guys , and congrats on the baby girl. i just wanted to say i deliverd my 1st set of books today i only sent out 13 coz i had 16 for c8 but i couldnt find the houses, im gonna collect on tuesday, and i have sent a book of the his work. when i get my c8 books back should i pass them on to next street or do c9 with them? i have 84 in total to do but i dont wanna buy that many books so i was hopeing to use c8 to find out who wants to order or at least get a book then split up the camps for next time. also if some one says i dont want any books should i tr them again in a few months? (and dose christmas make a diffrence?) there is a co op at the end of my road just a small one but i think i might hand a book in there to.

Summer-Caitlin - I had a problem on one of my roads when I first started and put this note out straight away to every house on the road...
Hello,
My name is Laurie and I am your official Avon Representative.
It has been brought to my attention that another Representative has been leaving brochures with you, even though this is not their designated territory.
I would like to apologise for any confusion that this may have caused and have hopefully rectified the situation with our Area Sales Manager to avoid this happening in future.
Should you wish to place an order, I am happy to take orders from both brochure 17 and brochure 18 so that you do not miss out on any of the special offers available in either one.
If I can be of any further assistance in the meantime, please contact me.
Regards,

I did 4 to a page and it seemed to do the trick.

I also contacted the other rep directly by text to say that I'd found some books on my allocated territory and asked if she would like them back. I kept the tone pleasant and explained that there must've been some confusion but that after checking with the ASM the road was definitely mine.

Panambi - many congrats :)
