medium and large carrier bags.can somebody give me an indication how big they are? i use the paper bags but one customer has given me an order for £48.50 so i thought i'd buy a couple
Med. bags are 14"w x 16.5"h (to top of handle)
Lge. are 19"w x 19"h (to top of handle)Hello,
My name is Laurie and I am your official Avon Representative.
It has been brought to my attention that another Representative has been leaving brochures with you, even though this is not their designated territory.
I would like to apologise for any confusion that this may have caused and have hopefully rectified the situation with our Area Sales Manager to avoid this happening in future.
Should you wish to place an order, I am happy to take orders from both brochure 17 and brochure 18 so that you do not miss out on any of the special offers available in either one.
If I can be of any further assistance in the meantime, please contact me.
Regards,
Laurie
That's excellent Lozza - I've saved it for future use if necessaryMany thanks!

Hi guys,
Not been on here for a while but just wanted to say my little baby girl was born yesterday, on her due date, at 3.11pm weighing 9lb 5oz!!! I'm so proud and happy - but it will take me a while to get back into my routine!
Congratulations!!!!:D:j:beer::TAvon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -

lozza, I bought the magix and totally love it, it makes my skin near flawless, even with the ideal shade foundation which although isn't as dark as I would like, I am getting used to the consistency. I am using the shimmer brick, which I also love, beautiful shade as I am not one to use blush . Recently bought the black pearl mascara which I also love, the little bits of glitter are really nice and with a few coats can make your eyes look very dramatic. I have bought the pedi peel pads but haven't used them yet, am looking forward to getting the chance to do so.
I have a predicament, remember I said a rep tried to deliver a catalogue through my door? Well she obviously put one in my neigbours door at the same time and I found the catalogue left on the doorstep today for her to collect. I glanced at the orderform to get the girls name, but was so annoyed to find an order!!! I delivered to my neighbour last campaign and was going to put a catalogue through her door tomorrow. I was so angry I called my SL and told her the reps name and that I really wasn't sure what to do. What do you guys think I should do? I don't think she should get the order, she is my potential customer and this is my territory. The rep is supposed to pick up the cat tomorrow afternoon so I have taken the book in and it's sitting here. I am unsure what to do, I don't want to give her the order as I don't particularly want this girl to have to keep coming on my turf, I don't want customers to get confused, nor do I want the potential of more orders for her, she has enough of a territory as it is!!!
It's not even the order amount that bothers me, it's £15.00, it's more the fact that she has honed in on my territory. I find it strange that all of a sudden this area is now getting Avon catalogues when we haven't had in years, even my customers have said that and now, out of the blue, she comes in and starts delivering cats, it's not on!!! So what would you do, take the order and keep it for yourself or leave it for her? If I leave it for her, it means every three weeks she will be in this area, I don't like that at all, what if she decides to drop more cats further down the road on the off chance I haven't delivered yet?
HELP!!!
Glad to hear I'm not the only one using loads of Avon stuff lol! I have to say the pedi peel pads are making my OH's feet much nicer, he used to have pretty minging feet with very dry hard skin, but they are getting somewhere close to soft now
For the problem with the rep poaching your area - I've had a couple of reps leaving books at houses - but one of them leaves at her 2 of her neighbours as they are obviously friends, so can't really complain there, and there is one house where the lady told me that the road already has a rep, I checked with my ASM and yes that street is mine, just figured the woman was nuts lol, but when I was collecting last time, there was a book out at that house (with an order) so I just jotted down the details and passed them to my ASM as there wasn't any of her books at other houses just that one so I guess they might be friends.
Either way, I'd say write down her details, but put the book back, and pass the details on to your sl/asm to avoid a scene, unless she perhaps has an email/mobile number then you could just drop her a polite word or two lol! - and use that note someone had put on here in order to explain to your potential customers the situation. If you start taking her books & orders then your sl/asm might not want to sort the situation out for you, yes she certainly shouldn't have been putting books through your doors -but she might have been allocated your street in error and if you keep her books it could get you in trouble as she has had to pay for them.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
hi guys , and congrats on the baby girl. i just wanted to say i deliverd my 1st set of books today i only sent out 13 coz i had 16 for c8 but i couldnt find the houses, im gonna collect on tuesday, and i have sent a book of the his work. when i get my c8 books back should i pass them on to next street or do c9 with them? i have 84 in total to do but i dont wanna buy that many books so i was hopeing to use c8 to find out who wants to order or at least get a book then split up the camps for next time. also if some one says i dont want any books should i tr them again in a few months? (and dose christmas make a diffrence?) there is a co op at the end of my road just a small one but i think i might hand a book in there to.
total so far£ 39 -friends and family
What I did when I started in order to get my territory split was to try and cover approx half of my territory (work out roughly how many houses you have on each street to help you split it) with the current book (say C8 in this case) and not give one at all the remaining houses. Then, when I was onto C9, I gave C9 to the houses that had seen C8 books, and used the C8 books on the houses that had never had a book. As you say, this way you don't need to buy as many books, and does give you more opportunities for creative ordering
As for people who say they don't want a book, I'm not giving them one again, but possibly coming up Christmas, say November time I might give them my old books to see if they order. I imagine that Christmas will make a difference, but then that might be wishful thinking lol!Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -

Bit of a random question - but with Avon re-packaging the eyeshadows, lipsticks etc....does this mean that in a couple of campaigns time they will sell of the old style ones? As I fancy getting some new eyeshadow (if I can get it past OH lol) but I wanted to get it as cheap as possible....mostly so OH doesn't complain lol!Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

I have a question. One customer bought an Anew moisturiser for £10, so I bought an Anew lip moisturiser for £5 and the Anew twist lip gloss for £5 to get the free treats. I actually hate the lip gloss and really want to return it, the smell is sickening and the colour I bought, sheer, makes me look dead. Can I return this without having to return the treats?Avon Rep

I think strictly the answer is no......especially if it was a customer lol. However, in C5 there was an offer where if you spent £15 on make-up you got a free handbag, I had worked to get 3 extra bags so all make-up was counting towards a handbag. I had a customer return some make-up....and Avon have never asked for the handbag back! I should have strictly had the handbag back from her, but she did reorder quite a bit out of C6 so didn't want to upset her. So might well be worth trying to return it to see if they will left you keep the treats. If they asked for it back, you could always say the customer was choosing someone else to buy instead in that range and then buy something else you wanted/was popular to resell.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

Thanks for that, I think I will return just the lip gloss, it really is horrible, I don't know why it smells so bad but as your lips are right under your nose, it's hard to ignore. There are plenty of other things in that range I could buy if I had to.Avon Rep
