I was think about having my own website.
if you guy have any idears on how I can get some orders , then please post them , thanks
This was girl in need's dilemma
I have no answers sorry as I only do friends and family
hence me not replying initially.
A website I believe you need to ask Avon's permission.
and then you have Lozza's advice, school local clubs and associations.

girl in need - I don't have much time on my hands either. I work full time and when I'm not doing that I am decorating my home (needs to be done) or spending time with my husband. I am struggling at the moment with work colleagues, may end up losing some cutom there, and to be honest I don't have much friends that live close enough, a lot of my good friends live abroad or further south (I used to live abroad myself). So I also don't have that much people to rely on for ordering. My mum lives here and she definitely will order but that's about it on the family front for now.
As for websites, like Karen said, you need permission, I would have loved to do this too as I think it would help a lot, but apparently it's not something we can do. To be honest I think door to door is a good way to get some sort of base for orders. I don't want to rely on my territory alone so I have canvassed 2 hairdressers and a large store. I still have one more hairdressers to try too. So if I were you, I would try hairdressers, local stores, community centres, schools etc. With the hairdressers and store I have my book in, there must be a potential of 50 customers there that will see it, that is the equivalent of 50 seperate houses. Sure I won't get that many orders, but the potential is there.
That is what I have done, I don't pick up the cats from them until the day my order is due so I won't know until next Friday if I get loads of orders or not. I have told all of them I will leave the cat for the whole 3 weeks and drop off a new one when I go to collect the old one.Avon Rep

Girl in need - have you thought of making contact with local playgroups, clubs, etc, to see if they would like a brochure?
Otherwise, as others have said, hairdressers can be useful and any shops, come to that.

Hi, i have a big problem and was looking for some advice about what i should do..
Basically i ordered a £400 order from Avon to have a big party. It didnt happen, so i sent them all back. Thought that was the end of it. Months later they send me a letter saying i have a late payment because i havent paid. But i returned everything, so shouldnt have to..
They're saying that they ahve no record of them collecting it and i dont have any receipt or anything..
I really dont want to have to pay £400 for nothing, is there any way that they could track it? What should i do??
Thanks0 -
how did you send them back??
did you use the returns form??
if there is no proof of posting i think unfortunatley you are liable to pay not sure though0 -
They collected them, i finished with Avon a while before that. But wrote everything down on paper and put it into the boxes..
I had the barcode on i thought they would be able to track it. I've dont it before and had no problems...0 -
Gonna go out and collect my first batch of brochures in a mo!! I said between 6:30-7 but thought I can at least see who has left them out - and try and find house numbers!! It's such a quiet road tho, everyone looking, and I'm their bloody neighbour! Oh well, fingers crossed I get some sales! x0

Six left them out - no orders. 24 houses left to annoy!! Hope at least one had ordered as I said to my ASM "what if no one orders" and she said that she'd think I'd not put any out. I still have the rest of the estate to post it to - I may do that now as my road is a small one.0
