  • Okay so my SL has just left and she has given me 20 cats 09 and 20 cats 08. I also have a Hello Tomorrow Campaign 10, order forms and some stuff to read through. I am pretty excited am going to have a look at the stuff just now. However, I filled out the contract and she informed me of the credit check, this I am worried about!

I got into a lot of debt about 4 years ago, when I lost my job but in the last few years I have set up payments to all my creditors and make timely, monthly, small payments to them all. I do know though that if I went for a new credit agreement, then I would most definitely be declined! I have no new credit agreements as I am trying my best to get out of debt. I am really worried that I will get declined based on the credit score. Does anyone know if this is a full credit check, seems strange that it would be as the amount of info the contract asks for is minimal. I don't know if I should wait before I start delivering my cats as I'm worried I will be declined. Anyone know how long this takes to go through?

    Thanks again ladies.

Nah you will be fine, very very few people get declined an account and those that do are usually the ones that have done avon before, got into debt with them and moved to a different area thinking they won't be found out which they always are.I wouldn't worry about a thing honestly, you will be fine:beer:
  • Thanks for that!

So as I am completely new to this I decided to fill out my order forms with first name, mobile phone number and email address. I have a day off today and as it's nice out I thought I should deliver my first set of catalogues. I am a bit confused now. I have 20 of campaign 8 and 20 of campaign 9. I was going to deliver them today and collect them on Wednesday PM.

So am I right in thinking that I should deliver 20 of campaign 8 to one side of the street and 20 of campaign 9 on the other side of the street? I was hoping to collect all my cats on Wed PM so I can put them out again on Thurs and collect on Sun PM. On the order form it leaves a space for delivery date, what do I put in here? Do I put the same delivery date for both campaigns? My order date for campaign 8 is 1/5 and delivery date is supposed to be 8/5, campaign 9 order date is 22/5 and delivery date is 29/5. Can I even order from Campaign 9 just now or do I have to wait until 22/5? I am a bit confused about the delivery dates and as I don't have an account number I can't check if I can do this or not.

I didn't want to have all the houses on the same campaign as that lessens my chances of creative ordering, not that I will attempt that yet!

Hope this isn't as confusing as it appears.

Lol right are you onto C9 in your area yet? if not then you can't put C9 brochures out as you can't order from them yet.For example you could now put out C8 brochures AND C7 as you can back order, you can only order from the current and previous brochures,no forward ordering.Delivery dates, why do you not have an account number yet? if you pm me your postcode i will tell you when your order/delivery dates are.Hope this helps
  • Thanks again

I only signed up this morning so I have no account number yet. I am pretty keen as you can tell to get myself organised.

I just went out and delivered 16 catalogues campaign 8, not much I know, but it's all I've got. I have put on them I will collect Wed Pm, I hope to deliver them again on the same evening if possible. I have kept 4 back as my friend wants one, as does my mum, gave one to my next door neigbour and am sending one to my friend in England (don't ask) LOL.

Okay, so as far as I am aware we have just started campaign 8 as I have been told that my order needs to be in by 1st of May, so I have a full 3 weeks with campaign 8. I intend to order more campaign 9 cats as I only have 20 and that is no way enough. BTW my territory is 180 houses so if I only have 20 cats, I am going to be out an in constantly! My post code is AB24 4

Okay so I can order from previous brochures, so for example as campaign 8 cats are out just now and say someone orders something from the anew skin care range that is cheaper in campaign 7, does that mean I can order it from campaign 7?

Thanks a lot for your help, it's a lot to get to grips with first off.

Yes but it also means you can re-use your brochures. This time you will be giving houses C8. When C9 starts, tha houses that have already had C8 will get C9 and the houses you haven't had chance to deliver to yet you can give C8 too. Hope that makes sense :D

So 180 houses, leave ya books out for 2 days MAX then go and re-do some more houses, so its good you have a full 3 weeks, put books out for 2 days at a time that way you can get as many in as many orders as possible, shame ur not closer i have hundreds of catalogues lol.Yep if ya see somethin in C8 and its cheaper in C7 ya can order it from 7 and keep the difference in price, customer doesn't need to know that but do anything ya can to maximise your profits, am sure all us Sale Leaders do it, i do;-)

If you put ya order in on the 1st of May it arrives 5-6 days after you submit the order. So i would put on the order form 6/7 May,will definetly be there by 7th May.
  • Thanks again, that was my plan to leave the books for 2 days as I know I have a lot of ground to cover. I noticed I got sale brochures along with my cats, is it wrong to not put these in and let the customers order the items at the more expensive price, thus making more money for myself? LOL, I have started already!!!

I still have to read through most of my stuff but I was determined to get my cats out today and get the ball rolling. Am anxious to do well on my first campaign:j

Erm, well i'm not sure how to answer that lol, from a business perspective nah its not wrong, its all about making as much as ya can i guess.I don't always put sale leaflets out but once ya get a few good customers then i would put leaflets into their books, what you do with the rest is your choice.Am sure you'll be fine, everyone does well on their first order so good luck with that.Anything else ya wanna know just pm me:beer:

You sound like you are doing well, I would do what others have recommended and perhaps even aim for 100 with Campaign 8 and then once you place your order for C8 send C8 brochures to the other 80 house you haven't done and once you are delivering campaign 8 order deliver Campaign 9 brochure. so then you will be dealing with 2 campaigns at one time.
    Will maximize your order time.

    Good luck
Also credit check should be fine, my credit is way below par, and I have been doing Avon since October and have obviously been a good rep not defaulting any invoices.

those of you that were given loadsa houses to start off with are lucky.i've got an ASM who believes in giving out very few to new starters.i would've been very happy to have started with 100-not only that but she talks a load of claptrap.some of them just don't want others to make money i'm afraid
