the £11 a week (still £47.66 pcm) is a reasonably poor campaign for me...i have averaged about £20 a week on normal campaign i reckon (£86.66 pcm) but will be lots more at christmas i hope! :p I usually average about 20 orders a campaign but have nearly 70 regular customers who order.. so if they all ordered every campaign id be loaded! :D:rotfl:

I have 350ish houses in my territory as i have 2 territories! At present about 100 of them arent interested in seeing a book and I have about 200 houses that dont order (yet) 50 that do and about 20ish family & friends/businesses etc.

I usually pay for my stuff like a customer too.... so on delivery night say i have ordered £15 worth of stuff (brochure prices) i'll use £15 of my own money in various denominations of change as my "float" so i have change to give to my first few customers if needs be. :)

    Hope that helps!

I have around 30 regular customers, about 5 order every campaign, and the others are every 2-3 campaigns. c7 I made £60 and c6 was £120.
My lowest weekly amount so far has been £16 and my best since christmas was £40 a week, just before christmas my best was £80 a week. Personally I have really noticed any difference, just ups and downs as it should be, as is normal but I am surprised that people are complaining that they only have sales of £200, I think sales of £200 is a lot and should not be a cause of complaint, especially in a recession!

Good luck everyone and Happy Easter!

Thank you : ) I've made more than I thought I would as well! It's all a bonus when I thought I'd made nothing this time and would have to put it down to experience!

I was collecting books today and had a customer who bought this last time. She said ooh I need to ask you something, how do you get this to work. There are no instructions, only what to expect after 2 weeks etc. I remembered someone on here had said something and was desperately trying to remember what it was, as she said if it doesn't work I want to return it as it's expensive if it doesnt work. Anyway I managed to figure it out eventually. But I think it's terrible there are no instructions.

I also asked her if she thinks the books are too close together at 3 weeks apart, and she said she thinks it would be better 6 weeks apart and now doesn't want another book for 6 weeks, even though she didn't order this time. I think I did myself out of getting an order off her next camp

I would look on the positive because you aren't hard selling she will apreciate it and made make a higher order every 6wks.
Wait and see, but I have found clients like to feel less pressure.
    xx

Yer typical Avon make you sell the stuff and work out how to bloody use the stuff :rotfl:

    Great idea!!!!

    They do now!!!!

I normally purchase £20-25 every brochure....I will certainly look at e-bay more often.
  • She is a nice lady who also orders Betterware from me. She said she will have an Avon book at the same time as the Betterware (which is every 6 weeks) as she doesn't mind having the both together. I was thinking if I had enough territory I could do Avon a bit like the Betterware and do different streets each camp. Or different streets each week as I think every 3 weeks is too much.

    What does everyone else think?

Thank you both for your responses.

So with regards to ordering books, you say you order about 17 packs and it comes to about £12, where does this figure come from? If 3 packs (15 brochures) are £4.86? Sorry if this sounds dumb, but I want to know the bottom line before I sign up. I think I see what you're saying about splitting your area in 2. So I would have say 10 houses on the left side of the street on say C6 and the 10 houses on right side on C7 right? So when they are all finished with the cats, I continue on the left with C6 and the right with C7, is that right?

So what is the advice on the work situation? I currently work for a GP Practice and there are a lot of female employees that like Avon. My colleague has a friend that does Avon and takes in her friends cat every campaign. If I sign up to Avon, the first place I want to put my cat is here at my work. I spoke to some of the girls and they think I should do just that, as in just take over the selling, but I am really worried that it will be seen as steppig on toes. I don't want to be a b***h, but I don't see whay I should ask her permission either... What do you guys think? This is stressing me out loads!

    Thanks again

My best friend has just taken up being an Avon rep . . . but, as I have been placing orders with a work collegue for some years..I would not change.

The people you work with will make up their own mind.

I know round Christmas I give people the choice,
I placed a tiny order for Campaign 1 - I was going to miss it but in the christmas card to them all I did mention I was missing it but if anyone wanted anything I would place an order.
2-3 did want stuff so I ordered it. £53 order.
But it gave people the choice and the option which they appreciated.

I would maybe do, it every 6wks for the customers who are asking,
just mark it on your calling book trust me you will get more respect and more trust from asking them.

I think you would get confused doing different streets per campaign.
especially if you are splitting campaigns. just my opinion. :o

I know most of my customers like to see the book every time, even if they don't end up ordering. They don't want to miss a good offer. Several of them make sure I'll still drop another one off even if they're not ordering this time and have a few phone/text me to check when I'll be dropping the new book off :p

Going to sort lots more books for delivering, should get my new territory finished before my order goes in thanks to the extra books off ASM :T

Got all my C7 orders delivered last night and this morning, paid the money (and cheques from family) into the bank, ready to pay account at the end of the month...I am trying to be more organised this month.

I emailed my ASM, Natalie Gray 347, yesterday about a Rep trying to poach some of my best territory customers.

She has never responded to any of my emails or phone calls (except one I made via head office).

It is now a waiting game........

Me too. Apparently I don't meet their "requirements" either. How welcoming. No explanation just "sorry"
