  • Submitted my C6 order on Saturday, a teeny weeny bit early so all products would be in stock (has worked for the last 5 campaigns!! ;) ), but still got a couple of the sale products out of stock  Never had anything sold out before, but hey at least they are regular customers though... :p What do you guys say to them?? At least the sold out bits weren't the only things they ordered.

My C7 books went out this morning to one of my streets, fingers crossed get some more new customers. Got over 30 in my territory now which is fab but lots didn't order last time. Hmph what can I say I'm greedy!! :D

It isn't just me who submits earlier then!!! It has also worked for me so far, though still had some things showing up as red out of stock - I guess those are probably the items that they had hardly any of too begin with!

Re somes query of what to say to customers - usually the day after I submit my order I put letters through everyones doors with my contact details on, saying what date & time I will be delivering their order, to contact me if it isn't suitable, and how much their order comes to (helps make sure they have the money ready lol) - if anything is out of stock I put it on that letter saying it's out of stock due to popularity, sorry for any inconvenience. Then when I deliver their order I apologise again, but always say don't let it put you off from ordering out of the sales as practically everything else was in stock (not a lie it has been the case so far for me!). Everyone has seemed happy with that :D

Nope never had to pay anything up front, my very first order (for C4) was probably £345 ish, and then you can see other ones - presumably I have a high credit limit?!?!?! I know someone said on a previous post (quite a way back lol) that Avon have a scoring system, I answered yes to having a mortgage & credit cards (never missed any payments) so I guess that might have helped? Who knows lol!!! Thanks though, I was so surprised at how easy it is to get orders! People very keen on Avon around where I live which is great news :D

How many campaigns have you done so far?

That's really good that you haven't had to pay anything up front. That's one thing I've learned since starting as a SL last week, Avon have an in-house credit score based on how long you've lived at your address and whether you have credit cards and/or catalogues.

I started in campaign 17 last year, but didn't do my round properly until last month because I've been busy building up my other business (I returned to work in Jan after having a baby last year!).

I've not had any problems so far with the sale items from the sale leaflets but don't want to jinx it! I very often don't get the stuff in the clearance at the back of the hello tomorrow magazine though. Actually it has occured to me that ordering early would mean more chance of getting the items, but we're on different mailplans across the uk, so it probably doesn't make a lot of difference.

When I deliver to my customers I just turn up and if they're not in I leave a note (one of those yellow cards) and ask them to call me for a convenient delivery time. It seems to work for me and them.

Elliebee - I'll fit in ok then if this is a madhouse!! :rotfl: Thank you for the welcome!
Thank you so much to everyone who post & help with comps! :j

I'd only lived in my house for 11 months when I signed up which I'd thought might have been a problem - but evidently not lol! You've got a few campaigns under your belt then :j Congrats on the little'un!:D

Just got my C8 brochures and flyers today.

Again, we have a 'recession busting' book which I won't be putting out! What flyers? Never seen them :p

Far Away £12 in brochure - £5 in flyer (same size)

Cellusculpt £12 in brochure - £4 in flyer...........and so it goes on.

I don't know how on earth customers are supposed to work out what price they will get  Not only that, but it begs the question 'if they can do it for £4, why are they charging us £12?'

At least, on the positive side, it should create an opportunity for some 'creative ordering' :p

BTW you have to watch the demo products too - the Storm Sunglasses have a demo price of £16.60 (with no discount, remember). The introductary brochure price is £20 (with a fixed discount of £3.40). I'm not particularly impressed with Avon at the moment, although at least my sales seem to be going well, fingers crossed as I say that :D

Im gutted. I just went to collect my books got 11 back from 33 and only got 2 orders totalling £38.

I usually get almost all books back cos these are my regulars and usually get between £100-£200 from this territory. :(

My partner has already asked me to give avon up because the amount of time i spend doing it for little return.. and this campaign is proving him right.
