Avon Hints and Tips (Part 2)

I went out this evening to collect my first lot of books, out of 12 houses half were'nt home and of the rest two asked to not receive any more books. I did receive two orders though totalling £14 so it wasnt a fruitless exercise.
I still have 7 books from another street to collect plus 26 houses to canvass with books from C4 when I get them tomorrow.
After a week of joining Avon I've received orders totalling £29,25, not great but with any luck that will go up as two of the local businesses have said they will order soon.
I also received my welcome email from Avon today and have managed to register on the website. I've started to add my orders and saved them but I dont know how to check the total value I've added so far, and does it show what commision you'll earn too? help! They have the internet on computers now?! - Homer Simpson

You can press continue, it takes you to the HT page, press continue again and you get a button that says view Subtotal... if you press that it'll show you your order with commission..
Just don't press the red button and go back after that. :rolleyes:0 -
Thanks Pam, it worked. I also discovered loads of great looking items in HT6 that have caught my eye, ooops! lol
Can you order extra brochures at a later date if you need them? I'm unsure how many to order for C6. Also the line reminding me to order C7 brochures is highlighted in red, any reason why? They have the internet on computers now?! - Homer Simpson

So I'm up to £285And I've worked out I can get myself a free handbag lol so I'm even happier!Sad I know!:D

Yey... well done!! :T Hope my second campaign is as successful, x0 -
I have no idea how we've done it, as most of that is from the territory, only about £90 of that is from work colleagues/family. Maybe beginners luck!:DAvon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

OR quicker/less chance of submitting it by accident.. where you put your order in there are 4 "tabs" across the top with the one your on where you place your order in "internet exclusive offers" them "samples sales aids and stationary" and then the last one is "view my order" ......... click on the "view my order" scroll down and click "view subtotal"0 -

Was interested in the posts regarding discounts for lipsticks and fragrance.
How much of a discount would you consider offering, bearing in mind you would need to earn from the order.
Also have you notice that when you want to offer something, like sell on a 'demo product' Avon beats you to it with a special offer which means you make almost nothing !
I never do discount off my customers, I suscribe to the extra value reward. In other words, give them a sample or free gift (discontinued, clearance range or stock up on 5/£5 offers).
Didn't want to set a precedent on discounting.
The multibuy demo items are great if you can sell them in that campaign. If not, usually they are in the next brochure for a higher price but with a bonus bag for free which renders the cheapy ones useless. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.
If you quote me, don't forget the capital 'M'

If C6 is your 2nd campaign your sales leader/ASM should be providing your books... so double check she is going to !! (and if she says she wont.. then question it.. and point out you wont get your delivery till a week into c6 so will be without books for a week of the campaign if she isnt going to do her job properly - but maybe dont put it like that :rotfl: !!)
And you order your books a campaigns ahead.. so the reason the c7 is red is because this order is when you need to order your campaign 7 books (in campaign 5) - the person who signed you up should have/will tell you that too0 -

Am I right in thinking that C6 is brochure 6?? The new look brochure?? That's my second campaign... I got 40 books for my first and just 20 for my second, but my SL said it was because she had extra of the first log - although they were brochure 4 on C5 so I've missed out on brochure 5...
Hoping that in a couple of campaigns I can start getting used to it and using back ordering and split territories..0
