Avon Hints and Tips (Part 2)

Well that's my first collection of brochures done, got an order for £13 from a 30 catalogue drop-off, so a reasonable start to Campaign 6 if I add the £15 order from my best friend (I'm sure she's just humouring me).
I did however, come home with just 17 of the brochures I left. Can anyone suggest the best way of getting them back? I don't really want to annoy anyone by knocking on the door while they're eating dinner, but thought perhaps putting a note through the door asking for them to leave the book out might work.
The remaining 17 are going out again on Thursday and will hopefully ALL return to me! I don't know what I'll do if I end up with none, lol.
Once again, great thread peeps! xx

Did you knock on doors and ask for the books or just pick up ones that were left outside? They have the internet on computers now?! - Homer Simpson

I always included a note of when I will collecting the brochure and ask customers to leave on doorsteps. If they dont I always knock after all they should have left it out. :rolleyes:0

I have 20 books to collect tomorrow night, fingers crossed the weather is good and most people have left them out. I hate knocking on peoples doors but that is something I will have to do at some pointThey have the internet on computers now?! - Homer Simpson

Hi everyone
I had a letter through today welcoming me to Avon and it had an account number on it which I presume will be mine?
They also included a C5 brochure which I guess will be the one that I will start with along with C6? I'm just wondering what I have gotten myself into as I could easily spend a small fortune in there!! I've already worked out what to get my mum for mother's day
If I put out a load of C5 books and C6 does the order total combine together for your commission (IYSWIM)?
I've got my printer and am just waiting for the lead to arrive from Ebay. Going to work on the newsletter tomorrow based on C5.

Morning everyone
I have been doing Avon since October ( campaign 14 )
I only do my family and friends although I am happy with my comission.
I do offer incentives spend £15 get a free gift - gift reflects value of order.
give loads of samples - 2 skin products, 2 scents, 1 lippy and a bath product.
I also give them any new products coming out in sample.
oders are pretty good considering the small client circle I have.
I order 2 packs of brochures ( although have now needed to up it to 3 )
but I don't chase the brochures as I would need to drive 20miles round trip to collect them 2 every 3wks rather than just once.
They email, text or phone me the order.
so far this is my order amounts for each campaign, I would ideally like to stay around the £200 mark.
c14 - £60
c15 - £80
c16 - £120
c17 - £150
c18 - £210
c1 - £70
c2&3 - £70
c4 - £161
c5 - £205 (so far)
I have ordered the king sized bumper box this time and the samples pack for myself but wondered if they are any good?
I went through my samples yesterday and due to the changes in the solutions produce most of those samples are now useless.
so have had to put them aside, also I had neglected my samples over xmas and january due to lack of funds. But now need to build them up again.
Does anyone have tips on offering samples?
I just vary what I give them but am thinking it might be better to concentrate on one or 2 products and plug it with an incentive offer.
like 50's glam perfume give out the sample to all my customers and offer them a £1 or £2 off their order of the perfume.
I just find I am giving out samples for nothing back if you know what I mean.
I have got my wee cousin buying the lippy samples herself as she loves that they are so compact and if she loses it out clubbing she doesn't mind too much.
any help would be very grateful.Life is what you make it;)0
