I'm hoping for more territory at some point as I have only 50 houses from two streets but I guess that will come in time

Me too.. I've got 66 houses but already about 6 of them have declined as they get it elsewhere or aren't interested. I'm going to ask my SL for more territory next time she contacts me... however looking at some of the threads that may be a while now!!

Before ordering anything on C6, I'd check the gift sets in the Sale flyer (p22-24).

There are lots of things that I get orders for on a regular basis at little more than the value of the single item - don't forget your commission comes off the price!

Don't forget to check, though, that the item is full size not trial size ;)
Where do we get the sales flyer from?? Or is that a daft question
  • Hi,

I started doing Avon just after Christmas but have no recollection of ever being told that they would report to the credit reference agencies?? Nor did I sign anything to this effect. I'm sure it won't negatively impact my file (actually in credit anyway due to returns) but just didn't know that they did this. Only found out when I checked Experian today.

Do you all have an account showing up with the cra's?

When I used to get my file details from experian, it did show Avon on it.

It does say in the small-print on the back of your contract that they give information on how you manage your account to credit reference agencies. If you run your account okay it can actually improve your credit rating, because Avon tend to raise your credit limit to three times your average order amount, and because you are shown to be borrowing then quickly repaying within a few weeks, it makes you look dead responsible :D Of course, if you don't pay your account they will register non payment and default, this only happens once they pass it on to debt collection - that's about six campaigns later.

They don't do a credit reference CHECK against you when you start unless - either you place an order over your initial credit limit; you live at an address where there has been a previous Avon debt and they aren't sure whether you lived at that address at the time; you have a similar name and DOB as a current debtor; or you decide to become a sales leader. The checks aren't all that rigourous, as I have an appaling credit record (although all sorted now) and they still accepted me ;)

Your ASM or sales leader should have explained all of this to you. Sheesh, am I the only sales leader that actually does their job or something  Anyway, hope that helps.

Minigirl, unfortunately there's no way to find out what strrets are free without asking the ASM concerned. If you call head office they'll just direct you back to the ASM. Only that area's ASM can tell you. Sorry.
  • My SL was meant to be here more than an hour ago, how long should I wait for her?
  • Has anyone ordered the face tester strips that are meant to indicate which of the new Solutions products are most suitable.

I was surprised how small they were when they came with my order on Thursday but I'm not sure how to pass them on to my customers. I did think about photocopying the HT pages and attaching a couple of the tester strips in each book but that might be a bit confusing.

What is anyone else doing with regard to this please?
