  • Good morning everyone

Well got most of my orders out last night. One woman doesn't get paid until today but I cannot go back until tomorrow night. Think she wanted me to leave goods and then go back for the money. I didn't want to risk it as I don't know her. I know she ordered last time and paid but you never know do you? Anyway time for work again. It seems never ending doesn't it?

Have a good day everyone. xx:beer:

It sounds like you're doing quite well - I don't usually finish mine till the start of the following week.

A little tip here..........when you knock on the door, keep the bag looped on your arm or by your side. If it's in front of you and the customer reaches out to take it, it can be really embarrassing not to hand it over before you've got the money safe in your hot little hand :o

Thanks Lozza. Only just started and when she brought my first books, she said that there'd been a mix up and there wasn't any C5 books, so I got given C4 books for my first one and then now have C6 ones... missed out on the C5 brochures altogether. I've only got 66 houses in my territory so to half it wouldn't get me many orders... I might have to wait a few months or see if I can get more territory I think??

You'd still be getting as many orders - as half your houses would be on C5, the other half on C6 - but at the same time, and all your orders count towards your current campaign! Took me a bit to get my head around that! So would still be worth asking for some C5 books, as I'm sure she'd have enough let for you to do half of your territory with.
Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A

oooo i love my mum!! She just got one my shiny new adverstising postcards put up in her local newsagent for Free! AND the ladies behind the counter asked her to get me to drop off a book as they had lost their rep just after christmas! AND one lady also asked could i get hold of 2 of the sparkle jewellery boxes that were in the book before xmas... and lo and behold they are in the c5 book for which i place my order in ooooo 11 hours time so i just got £20 order at the last minute...... another new customer.... and some free advertising! :D:D:D

    :j :j :j :j

That takes my C5 sales up to approx £454 now and 32 orders (didnt even have that many at christmas!) and of them orders 9 are new customers this campaign without me even trying really

Typical it was NEXT campaign i needed 3 new customers though for the competition :rotfl: and if its a case of "get 3 more than your last campaign" ive shot myself in the foot as im gonna have to try and get 35 orders next campaign    :rotfl:

..........so does anyone ask for a breakdown of your orders? :p

Funny how [STRIKE]several [/STRIKE] 3 people will persuade their MIL/work colleague/friend to order as well isn't it :D

Beware: These game cards that have arrived today 6 of them have other reps account numbers and names filled in, seems they have sent used cards that have no chance of winning
  • Thanks for the warning Deanos - that's appalling

I trust you'll be putting in a complaint at top level!

wouldnt that mean they were winning used cards? As reps details would only be on cards given to customers as you writen them on yourself and customers would only send cards to avon who have won? So if you hadnt noticed and gave them out and then the customer tried to enter the details they would be told it had already been used and possibly they had already won and wouldnt it look like you'd tried to claim their prize?? Thats really wrong....

May sound silly too but as a rep who HAD a customer win i'd not like the thought that a rep somewhere in the country has been sent my name and account number?!! I know they cant do much with it.. but still... its the principal that your name and account number is being sent out to other people!
  • Johanne - just noticed your signature line! Whoopee - congratulations :j

The game cards could have been winners or loosers i guess as if you dont have a PC you can send them in to be checked.

The wife phoned back and the lady said they were took off the wrong pile, she is being sent out another lot and £5 credited to her account.

If anyone gets cards that are a bit bent, dog eared or not in sequence they probably are used and no good

Oo didnt know that  :o:o But regardless surely they should have been destroyed when checked? Ive not even chased mine and no customers have asked... so i dont think i'll be bothering to chase TBH!

ELLIEBEE - thanks! We still have lots of my partners debts to pay off :( .. but im so happy to know I personally owe nothing now! So i'm now going to be using my Avon money to pay for my driving lessons which i started this week. Feels good to know im doing something more than paying debt with it! :D

2 QUICK QUESTION FOR SALES LEADERS - is there huge pressure to constantly recruit reps? And do you HAVE to have 5 reps by the end of your second campaign?
