Urgh... rant alert....
i emailed avon last night bout the fact if you try and order the botanicals eye cream at demo price out of HT6 the code actually orders you an "ANEW beauty bonus bag black" ... gave them them product descriptions and the offending code and everything...
They just emailed back to ask could i give them more detail like what product i was trying to order... id described it in my first email and its not like i could give the product number because ITS WRONG HENCE WHY IM EMAILING YOU TO LET YOU KNOW!!!  :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
Hi there and thankyou to yourself and to the other poster who has posted to me.
I think i will buy the bag to be honest
I dont like going out in the dark is the main reason and i think i would be ok if it was on a main lit street but it isnt. I havet looked at all the info n c5 book yet bu i will when kids in bed
A little about myself:
Iam rebecca and im 21 and have to children, DS who is 4 and a half and DD who is 3 in week and a half. Im in the preston area..anyone else fro here?
I would order the bag... you get some free paper bags and order forms too as far as i know! Plus the cost is split over 2 campaigns - £5 a time.
(I got sent the £15 demo bag aswell instead of the normal rep bag as it must have been out of stock when iordered it - but i think that was just pure luck)
About going out in the dark - could you put the books out in the day and then say you'll collect them whatever day in the morning/afternoon that way your going out in the light? And as the nights are getting lighter you could say you'll be delivering early evening OR deliver on a weekend day?
Just a thought.... (apparently council estates are some the best customers! And i'd agree as ive just got 6 new customers from 17 houses i canvassed on a "rough" estate!
)

Hi and welcome - I only deliver and collect during the day as I have a 4 month old baby who I am still feeding and dont like to go out on these dark cold nights so I always put on my notes that I put in with the brochure that I will collect the brochure after 9am on ???? (Whatever date)
I do deliver occassionally in the evening around 6pm as I have a couple of customers who work or I do it on a Saturday and Sunday.
Introduction - I am Sharon, 39 Live just outside Dudley in the West Midlands and have been doing Avon since November. Joined up as I am on maternity leave (as mentioned 4 month old son ) therefore its great for earning a little and getting out and about with the pushchair and getting that pregnancy weight off !!!0 -
katchambers wrote: »Lozza - you are entitled to 20 of each campaigns books, so no she shouldn't expect that much for just 5 brochures. Next time she visits ask her to get some brochures off of the area manager - they always have loads, as you are entitled to them and you shouldn't be expected to get enough orders off of so few brochures, PLUS, as she is a sales leader she will be getting paid back for those 40 brochures so if she doesn't give you all of those she is making money from you, which is unfair.
p.s you don't need £78 of orders from each book, you need £78 from each campaign, so you need to make £78 over 3 weeks from 2 lots of books, so if you are on C4 you have 3 weeks and bunches of C4 and C3 books to earn that amount. Also, another thing, can you tell me what mailplan you are on, if you don't know it tell me your post code, because if she has given you less brochures she might not have given you the correct info, because some mailplans still only have to get £52 in sales for C4 because they reduced the MOV for the shorter campaigns. Mine was less last campaign.

I'm in area 343. I think re-reading her emailed she has said the same as you ladies, about them being combined - but she worded it extremely confusingly! So feeling a lot better, as today a colleague gave me his wife's order (only gave him a book yesterday) and it's for £10.75, and MIL is ordering £20 of stuff so I'm getting there. Also another colleague heard that I was doing Avon and asked for a book saying that she gets one at home but never orders because of not knowing when they are coming back - so sounds promising that she might order fairly regularly from me:D
partner phoned earlier (I'm at work!) to say that she had dropped off 40 books of C3 but that she went back to her car far too quickly for him to ask what streets I have - even though she said she'd tell me today!!!
Though in her email this morning she did say that when she comes on the 3rd she'll give me C5 books and there will be no charge - so I don't think she's necessarily going to be making money from giving me less books - although it did cross our minds!
As for a bit of info about myself:
From my name you can probably work out I'm 23, moved into my first house last year with my fiance - hence why I'm starting Avon and we're both starting Kleeneze - as there is a lot of work left to do on the house and no money! Plus a wedding to save for!
We have 2 rabbits, 1 hamster, and one kitten who is a bit of a nutter at times! No kids yet, not planning on having any until I'm around 30, though I have 2 little nephews who I adore. We both work full-time on shifts so quite often they clash and we hardly see each other - so we wanted an extra job that we could do together, and partner said at least it would mean he was doing exercise so he would loose some weight!:pAvon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -

I've just had a similar experience in Matalan
Me: ' do you know if they do this skirt in black?'
Muppet on desk: 'Are there any out there?'
I think it's a variation on 'If it aint on show we aint got any'Better to ask a silly question than to make a silly mistake' Elliebee's Mum

If you are not comfortable about going out at night then don't, get times from customers so you know when they will be in.0 -

Hi Everyone
I know this is nothing to do with Avon but we've just been to Tesco and bought 5 energy saving light bulbs for 40p. Actually we bought 10 cos we thought it was such a good price. Brilliant. :j0 -
