Hi all, thought I'd join in!! I'm Leanne I live in mid Cornwall and share my house with a mad as a fish lurcher called Ziggy. I started Avon last October as a way of both making some extra money and meeting some new people.
Debt free = December 2010...as of March 2006 it is now January 2010..... as of December 2008 it is now December 2009 :j hopefully sooner!!
:jDEBT FREE:j January 2012, took longer but I got there, all by myself, through sheer hard work and pride!

    Hi Leanne!:D

Thought maybe if people wanted we could post what the greatest (and maybe least!!!) amount you've ever made from commission!

For me - as of yet I've made nothing as I only signed up earlier this week! But am hoping to make at least £20 commission, I'd be happy with that :)
Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A

    Hi all,

I've been thinking for years of taking up Avon, my Mum used to be a rep and would take me out with her in the evenings when I was little, plus I grew up with boxes all over the house full of Avon gear. I know how it all works and am wondering if it would be worth giving it a go myself?

I work full time but could manage Avon at evenings and weekends, I'm thinking it might be a good way to earn a bit more cash until OH finds a job (he was laid off last week)

    My intro...

I'm Laurie and I'm 33, happily married and mum to a 2-year old boy and 2-week old girl. We now live in Glossop having moved from Liverpool in October and we also have a 4-year old black lab X that we got from the RSPCA when he was 5-months old. I started doing Avon in November as a way to get out of the house and meet people plus earn a bit of pocket money for myself. I also do Usborne children's books but that's on the backburner for a while whilst I get used to life with 2 young children.

    right introduction first
im beki 28 married with two girls age 6 and 3, and no i dont really smell (quickly checks under arms to make sure).
I started avon on c1 this year and originally was just doing friends and family but after not having a cat through the door this year,i asked my asm if my street was still being done and yippee it wasnt.
So now i have to work out how many houses are on my street and will strt putting books out.
Will be using my c3 books first as using c4 on friends so i can use my books again and hopefully reach the 78 target each month.
hope everyone is ok on this gloomy grey sunday
  • hello all!

my order went in on friday and i have just had a customer phone up who forgot to leave book out. the order is for £34. if i place an additional order and pay delivery charge will avon add this £34 on to my total meaning i get commission on it OR would i be better off ordering from customer website with free delivery code?

got to get this stuff to her next week as not only is she a good customer i have been friends with her oh for years

    cheers,
    loki x

just had a look at prices and because it would have been a back order anyway it will be much more expensive on avon customer website. have added products to rep site and does not show any commission so i guess that they don't 'tie' the orders together if it is an additional . so... next question - if i make order up to £52 so that i reach commision level and then send stuff back will i get to keep the commission on the items i keep???

just trying to 'play' the system a little so i dont loose money!

wonder if anyone knows the answer?????

    cheers,
    loki
it's nice to be important but more important to be nice!! :kisses3:
  • I think you will keep the commission as I ordered an extra item last campaign to make it up to £52. I put the extra item in for a return and it just deducts the "your cost" amount from your balance, meaning that you keep the commission on all other items. I think - please correct me if I am wrong!

I've taken the plunge and decided to apply for more details and see if Avon is for me. I discussed it with my boyfriend and he said as long as I dont get carried away and wear myself out he'll support me 100%, great I said, you can come out with me then!
