  • Right, getting back to avon:
I wanted to give my campaign update for c3 as I normally do.

I have a round of 300 houses, which I have whittled down to just over 50 regulars.

In C3 I had orders from 16 customers and my sales were £408! Which I am totally thrilled by.

My profit should have been £120 but with clever back and forward ordering I increased it to a mammoth £175 profit - that's after brochure costs too.

That means I earned 43% commission!

So for all you newbies out there or anyone considering joining, once you know the ropes, there is no reason why you can't improve on the 25% maximum commission you are supposed to get, in fact I have never earned 25% commission, the smallest commission I earned was 31% I think!

How did I do it this campaign, well last campaign a customer ordered mascara at full price, and it was the mascara that was in the eye gift set with the eye lift, the gift set cost £7, my customer paid £7 so the eye lift was free, and this campaign I sold the eye lift for £10, thus making £10 profit.

The biggest area that I made profit on though was that a lot of my customers purchased make-up in c3, but by ordering it in c2 I was able to do the buy 2 items get one free, so I got 3 make-up items for free thus making me another £19 profit.

Another big saving was colourtrend items. I had 4 items purchased in C2 but by purchaasing them in c3 I got 2 items for £1 and thus made £6 extra profit.

That gives you an idea anyway,
Good luck everyone for C4, will be collecting half of my brochures in on monday.

Oh yeah, has anyone looked at the HT6 yet, the grey one with Reese Witherspoon on the cover? OMG I am sooo going to be spending a tonne from that one. There are so many great products I think, so many lovely present ideas and so much jewellery etc that I want to buy - I think it's the best HT I have seen so far.

    Woohoo Kat well done :j
  • For those new to this lark, don't forget in Brochure 4 that if 2 or more customers order Anew items totalling £20 or more you can order YOUR bonus bag :j

The same thing applies to any freebies - consolidate your orders to see what you can order for yourself. You don't need to worry about the 3 for £10 sort of offers as Avon divide them up and charge accordingly.

  • Hi Elliebee,

I have not placed my first order yet. I am doing my very first one for C4. Sorry to sound a little bit thick but what do you mean? Do you enter each order you get seperatly?

How does it work getting the free stuff? Do you keep it or use it as free gifts and also if you get free things what kind of bits are they?

  • Just had this in my messages.
    Special C5 Bookmarks for K - O Mailplans only
Avon is offering Representatives in Mailplans K - O the chance to sell two new Campaign 6 products to their customers one campaign earlier than the other mailplans. It is hoped that this will help to increase customer spend and therefore increase Representative earnings.
All Representatives in Mailplans K - O who order C5 brochures will receive 1 bookmark per brochure.
I won't get it but some of my reps will.
    What do you think?

Off to do 2 sign ups now, off 1 card in a shop window... brill

    Hi Everyone,

Im just wondering if you loverly people could give me some advice?

I signed up to do Avon 2 days ago and today the lady come round and told me what I had to do. She has given me C5 and C4 and have till when the C5 order goes in to get my orders in and the lady is on holiday and also 80 odd houses to go round, but its on a rough estate and i dont fancy walking round the estate in the dark. So what i want to ask is..Do i have to go round houses? Or can i just do famiy/friends/school/playgroups etc?

Do you think i should buy the avon bag for £10, if i dont go round peoples houses BUT it would give me somewhere to put al my avon stuff without my kids getting to it and also i get free samples and some perfume. But wold you think it's worth it?

Is there anything else i need to know, or any tips you can offer me?

  • Hi Mumzy,
I only do avon to friends and family and close nieighbours.
I've been doing avon nearly 2 years now - i haven't got the bag, i store all my things in a avon delivery box (its fits just nicely under the spare bed) i then use a cancer research cloth bag when delivering - its not an avon one but it does support the same charity as avon - also fits loads of things in it.
Let me know if you think of any more questions and i'l try and help out.
    Good Luck

If you don't feel comfortable delivery to those houses i wouldn't go - if you could ask for money upfront with the orders.
