Thanks everyone for being so helpful, I had a reply from my rep this morning, and she seems to be implying that I need £78 from C3 and then £78 from C4!!! So thats £78 from 5 c4 books...... which seems a little ambitious for my first time!!!

I think I'll stick with what you ladies said as it seems more believable and to be frank I don't think she understood the question even though it was exactly the same as what I posted here!!

It's ok Ellie I won't leave you alone , here's me:

I'm Kat, I live in Milton Keynes, I live with my husband and our delightful border collie puppy, both of whom join me when I deliver to my customers! I am 27 years old, I have been married for 4 years in May and I have been with my husband since I was 17!

I started Avon in September and I absolutely love it!!! I had never bought from avon before I joined so I had no idea what to expect, and now I buy so much I can hardly stop myself!

    Here's mine:

I'm Kerry (but lots of people in RL know me as Rosie too) and I live in Coventry. I'm 27 like Kat and I've been with my other half since I was 17 like Kat too! And I started Avon in September too. Spooky! Kat, you have a clone! No plans for kids, marriage or a dog yet though...

    Right, getting back to avon:
I wanted to give my campaign update for c3 as I normally do.

I have a round of 300 houses, which I have whittled down to just over 50 regulars.

In C3 I had orders from 16 customers and my sales were £408! Which I am totally thrilled by.

My profit should have been £120 but with clever back and forward ordering I increased it to a mammoth £175 profit - that's after brochure costs too.

That means I earned 43% commission!

So for all you newbies out there or anyone considering joining, once you know the ropes, there is no reason why you can't improve on the 25% maximum commission you are supposed to get, in fact I have never earned 25% commission, the smallest commission I earned was 31% I think!

How did I do it this campaign, well last campaign a customer ordered mascara at full price, and it was the mascara that was in the eye gift set with the eye lift, the gift set cost £7, my customer paid £7 so the eye lift was free, and this campaign I sold the eye lift for £10, thus making £10 profit.

The biggest area that I made profit on though was that a lot of my customers purchased make-up in c3, but by ordering it in c2 I was able to do the buy 2 items get one free, so I got 3 make-up items for free thus making me another £19 profit.

Another big saving was colourtrend items. I had 4 items purchased in C2 but by purchaasing them in c3 I got 2 items for £1 and thus made £6 extra profit.

That gives you an idea anyway,
Good luck everyone for C4, will be collecting half of my brochures in on monday.

Oh yeah, has anyone looked at the HT6 yet, the grey one with Reese Witherspoon on the cover? OMG I am sooo going to be spending a tonne from that one. There are so many great products I think, so many lovely present ideas and so much jewellery etc that I want to buy - I think it's the best HT I have seen so far.

    That is spooky!

Yeah we decided dogs first, then kids, it's good preparation actually. No kids for a year or two though.

Lozza - you are entitled to 20 of each campaigns books, so no she shouldn't expect that much for just 5 brochures. Next time she visits ask her to get some brochures off of the area manager - they always have loads, as you are entitled to them and you shouldn't be expected to get enough orders off of so few brochures, PLUS, as she is a sales leader she will be getting paid back for those 40 brochures so if she doesn't give you all of those she is making money from you, which is unfair.

p.s you don't need £78 of orders from each book, you need £78 from each campaign, so you need to make £78 over 3 weeks from 2 lots of books, so if you are on C4 you have 3 weeks and bunches of C4 and C3 books to earn that amount. Also, another thing, can you tell me what mailplan you are on, if you don't know it tell me your post code, because if she has given you less brochures she might not have given you the correct info, because some mailplans still only have to get £52 in sales for C4 because they reduced the MOV for the shorter campaigns. Mine was less last campaign.

I'll introduce myself too.... Im Johanne, yes its my real name - its an odd spelling of Joanne. I'm 23 years old and live in Liverpool with my partner who ive been with for nearly 3 years now and our gorgeous little 9 month old daughter. OOps had to edit cos i forgot our pet bearded dragon! (lizard)

I started selling AVON at the end of October 2008, little one was 6 months old and my maternity allowence was coming to an end with no job to return to (id been temping). My partner works shifts 4 on 4 off (12 hour shifts of nights and days) so a regular job wasnt an option as we'd be stuck for childcare but we couldnt afford for me not to have an income ... plus that would drive me crazy!! So i signed up and havent looked back... yes its lots of work at the minute as i took on 2 territories and i dont drive but it gets me out the house, im back to my pre-pregnancy weight and i get adult conversation!!:rotfl: So its great!
  • I'm Donna, I'm 42 and I live in Kent with my 18 year old son (very handy when you have a lot of orders to deliver - he looks like my bodyguard at 6 foot) and two cats. Started Avon in August as I love the products and couldn't hang on to a rep for more than three months!

Don't make a huge amount of money at it, but manage to get a few freebies due the backordering (never would have done that without you guys) and have met loads of lovely people x

  • HI

I'm Anne. I also live in Coventry. I have 5 sons, yes I did say 5 it wasn't a typo, and 4 grandchildren. I have been with my partner 4 years. His youngest son also lives with us. My oldest is 24 and youngest is 15. I am 44 and I started doing Avon partly because we need the money with me being a temp and regularly being in between jobs, and partly to get me out of the house and meet people. Also because I like Avon and I know a lot of other people do too.

Oh we also have 3 cats and some tropical fish lol.

Kat I took your advice and managed to get 2 free mascaras from camp 3 and a free lippy. I will be giving my sister 1 of the mascaras as a free gift cos she spent so much. Will keep the other mascara and lippy. So 2 free gifts for me yay.

Also my am phoned me this morning to say congrats as I have reached level 2 with my first order so will be getting some free gifts there as well. Yippee :j
