  • You beat me to it Deanos - I was going to post more or less the same. It seems to me that if we charge brochure prices, then our customers will think they are being ripped off.

Of course, there is little point in ringing to ask.........they're not exactly going to be familiar with VAT are they?

    HELP!!!!!!!

  • Hi folks

I just picked up most of the brochures that weren't left out for me on Saturday & I had 2 orders in them. One for £9.50 & one for £99.50 !!! I'm ecstatic !!! :D:D:D:D

I've reissued these brochures round my other street & even if I don't get any orders from them or from the ones I gave friends I already have £187 & that's not including what I want too. My first campaign, I'm over the moon :D

    Now I have a question:-

Technically I'm on campaign 18, but was only given 6 of these brochures, but given 22 of campaign 17, which I was advised to use to canvass, cos no losses if I don't get them back cos they can't be used again next time, so that's what I've done. Most of the orders I've got have been on camp 17, but a couple are on the camp 18 sales brochure & at least one other order is camp 18. Will all these orders go through as camp 18 when I get round to doing them, or will they be split into 17 & 18? (I'm thinking about my commission levels if they are split).

As we are VAT exempt im hoping it does not cover us
  • Whoooosh

aslong as you put all the orders through in one order (just chage the bit on the side to 17 for those items) it will all go through together.

    Hope that makes sense lol
  • Yeah, makes perfect sense Mini (I think lol).

I'm putting the whole order through together on 3rd December, so even though it's out of 2 campaigns, it all classes as one (if I've understood it right).

    That's even better :D

tyvm for such a quick reply Mini xxxxxx
  • Your quite welcome Whooosh
  • Hi avon ladies. I started doing avon 3 campaigns ago as the girl I used to buy from stopped and no-one at work did it. I only do colleagues so just small orders. What I wanted to ask was, how do you all manage not to spend a small fortune every brochure? I'll not make much money at this and didn't do it to make money but I'm spending more than I did before, mainly due to the demo stuff. I ended up buying 7 of the U offer as it was so good! (Justified this by telling myself that I would buy it at full price anyway and use the bags and cosmetics as gifts....)

I really don't want to do the selling to neighbours thing, so I'm unlikely to increase my earnings. Please tell me it's the novelty and that I will stop buying so much!

This is not really in the spirit of MSEing is it? I think I need help....

I take your point Deanos, but from a customer point of view, it seems to me that they will expect to pay less. I'm a total dunce when it comes to things like VAT (even though I worked in a shop for a while!), so if anyone can clarify things I would be very grateful

I am hoping that we will all get some sort of memo from Head Office over the next few days, as my C1 is due to go out to customers on Friday with my C18 deliveries.

I am expecting the supermarkets to reduce the price of chocolate etc so i would assume that Avon will do a similar thing come 1st December....
