Avon Hints and Tips (Part 2)

Hiya.
Has anyone not got their "30deals in 30 days" email today?
Just thought, can still look at what it is by logging on to Avon I spose.
Have just got in from collecting 50 odd books, I Haaaate doing it in this weather, though it's not as bad as the other night (my car's thermometer read 0.5 :eek: )

I had a customer ordered the power ranger pjs in 5/6 which were OOSDNR so instead of dissapointing her I looked on ebay i found them for about 90p less than brochure price... so ive won them and will explain to the customer they were out of stock but ive managed to find another rep with a spare pair so will get them to her ASAP I'll lose about £1.04 in comparision to the commission i would have got from AVON but im hoping the lady will be impressed i went the extra mile and stay a loyal customer.

Hey Guys

Hoping for some suggestions. I thinking of using the page turning idea in C1 to highlight a special offer or product to customers. But Im not sure what page would be best to turn (thinking maybe Bond Girl coz of the shower gel). Anyway I know some of you guys have used this method so was just wondering what page you would recommend

Mini, rather than turning the pages I thought of putting them sticky highlighter strips on, as they won't damage the pages & make them tatty. You can write on them too. Not actually got beyond thinking about the idea yet, so no idea which pages I'd stick em on.

I tried this in campaign 14. It took forever and I didn't notice that sales were improved for the highlighted pages at all! I never tried it again though - as a matter of fact I'd forgotton all about it until today, when my ASm and I were canvassing with expired brochures and she asked me what they were.

Thought I would just say Hi - I have just signed up and I love the hints and tips on this thread - Am taking my 1st lot of C18 books out tomorrow - only have 8 but have about 12 C1 - should I take them out too ??

my Camp 17 didn't go well and looking at 18 there seems to be a lot of the same stuff

or would it not be worth the hassle?

Good luck Salsa xxxx I'm in my first campaign too, taking out 17s & 18s. I only have 2 streets, but have over £200 in orders already & know I have one to come off my aunty on Friday & also 12 more books to collect in. I'm loving it & hope you do too. I've used nearly every hint I've read on this thread, it's been ever so useful

One of best time-saving tips is to put a little introductory letter in with your brochure, introducing yourself & also noting when you will be back to collect the brochures & when the order will be delivered. By doing this you're not writing on the bottom of the order forms (as I started to) & finding you can't reuse them when you get them back unmarked. If you don't have a printer I'd say it's well worth investing in a cheap one. Mine packed up last week, so I bought an Epson SX205 only £39.99 from Currys, should've been £79.99, it's a printer, scanner & photocopier all in one, I think it'll prove invaluable & it's such a sexy black unit

silvercharming - I might give it a go at a later date if I find things slow up. I thought I could highlight pages with offers on a certain product if I know one of the customers likes it as I get to know them better.

ps SC, I've bought some of the Wilkos labels you recommended today too Now what can I use em for? lol
