lopez, call head office and tell them you definitely ordered them and they're not on your invoice, and get them to post them out. It's only a bit of a lie! I always order the actual item as well as a back up, if things don't work the way I hoped then I have a back up, if everything goes swimmingly I can just return what I don't need ;)

If my ASM sent me s**tty emails when I was ill, I'm sorry, but I'd complain about her.

    Claire, PM for you :)

Anyway, I want to say a huge thank you to a certain Kat who frequents these boards...
    :T

Guess what? My ASM has just called me from her review. The lovely Brendan from marketing is coming to our meeting again next week, her manager wanted to know all about the Coventry Brendan fan club. Apparently it's been noted that 'someone' on an internet forum told people that he's fit, and that 'someone' told him and he's embarrassed about it.

    :lovethoug

    :rotfl:

    :D

Anyway, I'm not sure what he's coming down for this time but Brendan + freebies = me there! Also they want to quote something I said last time somewhere... can't remember what I even said now, hope it wasn't anything embarrassing. Though lets face it, it's gonna be a little awkward anyway. I did ask my ASM to pass on the message that I'm attached and just have nothing better to do with my life :o
  • Thanks for the warning, :Lopez. I was doing the same but hadn't yet sent my order so I'm going to play safe and order both, If the bonus bag turns up, I can always return them.

Could you tell a little white lie and explain to the customer there must have been a mix up in packing due to this time of the year..... Say you've spoke to avon and asked can they send it out but they want to charge an extra £2.50 (which will seem excessive for how small the items are)

The ask them could you order it next time for them instead? Maybe even offer a discount off it of 10% for the inconvenience. You may find the customer is willing to wait the 3 weeks! Then you make say 15% commission on the next order...... no additional charges for delivery.... and maybe if you have any samples already throw some in as an additional sorry and you will seem really helpful!

Dont know if that would work?

After reading many posts on this thread, I have decided to ask a big question so please don't all jump on me!!!

I have been doing Avon for quite a while now after taking over from a colleague at work. Until Campaign 17, it was people at work plus family.

I have been through all my Avon stuff and I can't find anything and I certainly don't remember the lady that signed me up telling me anything about having to register as self employed.

I already work full time so I have no idea how this would affect me. Can someone please give me some guidance either on here or by PM.

    Thanks

Brednall - you should register as self-employed, it does say so in the yellow booklet you were given when you signed up before about C10 this year, and in the 'legal information' in the starter pack if you joined after that.

Don't forget you can offset your costs of things you need to do your Avon job against your profits - that's the phone, the internet, a proportion of your heating bills etc if you use a room just for Avon... TBH unless you're raking it in the taxman will end up owing you back!
  • hi all. hoping someone can help.
ive just submitted my first order. and im confused ny this message:

    > To prevent delays to your order, your online payment (or your cheque/giro payment) plus your completed order must be received by 10pm on the day shown below.
    (which was tommorrows date)
does this mean i need to pay for it upfront?
  • No this only applies if you still have a previous balance owing, i send something similar to my team of reps.
If you still owe money your new order will be held.

    Evening all :D

Can't remember if I mentioned but the pub in which I was to host my Avon party has closed down so I'm now holding it at my house as week on Thursday. I reckon there'll be about 12 guests. If anyone has any handy tips I'd be very grateful as I'm a bit nervous as never done something like this before

  • How much was your first order as everyone has a credit limit for the first one. If you order was over your credit limit you need to pay the difference upfront.

Check with you manager what you limit is

Hope this helps and good luck
