No, havent asked for Territory list, didnt know I could? Big prob is that I am out of my ASm/TLs area, so that makes things doubly hard
If you are out of your SL's area, you will have a different ASM to her - every rep has an ASM that looks after their area, and who is the only person who can assign territory for that area. Now some are friendly and helpful and will find a nice 'goog' territory close to a person's home, others guard the territory jealously as though its' their own prized possession. If I get you your ASM's number you should call and ask her to help you find territory you can get to. Make it clear you'll quit otherwise as ASM's bonuses (and tellings off) all revolve around the number of reps placing an order and the number who leave.
Ebay really isn't worth selling on. Fetes etc are only ever any good when they're actually being held, so that isn't a long-term solution. I would ask your clients if they'd like to look at a book, you don't have to pressure them. but you never know, they may love Avon! Think of it as an opportunity for them to buy, rather than an opportunity for you to sell, just as it would be if you didn't know them and were just a random stranger putting the book through their door.
PM me your postcode again and I'll get you the number for your ASM.0 -
Aww sorry to hear you are not having a good time of it at the min. I am on my second campaign now for Avon, for my first one I was in such a panic thinking how on earth am I going to get THAT much!!
If you live in a village, have you had an avon book through your door lately/ever? if not then your neighbours may well have not seen one either. You could just pop round to find out and if they say no they havent then ask if they would like one.
As for you dog walking clients, do you go to them for your job or do they come to you? If you go to them you could try and get territory around there. If you time it right you could drop to a few houses on one visit pick up books and orders and redrop on the next visit IYKWIM. That way you wouldnt have to carry too much at one go. Alternatively invest in a cheap wally trolley, I am considering doing this for my roads as it is alot kinder on the arms/back.
Do you have a local hairdressers/playgroup/school/Dr's surgery? I even dropped one off at my local vets and am going to ask at the garage aswell. Your OH's work, do they have someone there?
Vistaprint are doing free business cards at the min so order some of those and use the space cleverly, dont pay attention to the line headings they give you, put as much info on the card as you can. Then ask if you can leave them on notice boards, pub/chip shop etc.
Wishing you lots of luck. Will try and think of some more ideas.Debt free = December 2010...as of March 2006 it is now January 2010..... as of December 2008 it is now December 2009 :j hopefully sooner!!:jDEBT FREE:j January 2012, took longer but I got there, all by myself, through sheer hard work and pride!0 -
My ASM is on my back about not placing an order this campaign. I'm on placement on a maternity ward working 14 hour shifts and I've just had the flu.
She has said that an order has to be placed every campaign or reps will have their teritory taken off them!
Is that true or is she just making it up for her own benifit?Trying to remain debt free!
Sept GC £24.10/£200
Weekly spend £0/£50
Sealed pot £3.150 -

Unfortunately she can do it, although it's at the ASM's own discretion and most wouldn't be so crass under the circumstances. Have you explained it fully to her? If she still says that's the case I would call head office and explain it to them. They'd rather not have an order and keep a rep than lose you over something so stupid, and if necessary they'll deal with the ASm for you. But 'an order' need only be your brochures and order forms that you'll need for the following campaign anyway, so can't you just order those? It saves getting all adversarial about it!

I'm in Winchester too and i think we might have the same ASM as I've had the same too. Even when I had no territory she sent me a letter to say that I would be taken off her list! One blunt phone call later, she's as nice as pie! lol. I must admit that she is good but I'm not sure if I like the constant emails to encourage us to keep selling etc. I don't like being pressured. People buy or they don't and I don't want to make them, if they don't want to. :rolleyes:0 -
Thank you for this one! I just saw it before I put my order in as I have a customer who wants the mascara AND another customer that has ordered In a Blink too!!
The make up bag in HT.
What will I do??? I've just looked at my invoice online and it's not been sent! It didn't say when I ordered it that it wasn't in stock. Now I will have 2 customers that will be unhappy because I tried to make a bit of extra money! How bad do I feel??
Lesson learnt! lol.0
