Either your upline sales leader of your ASM should have told you, Mousie. There was also a leaflet in the sign-up pack, if an older sign-up pack was used they were supposed to print a sheet off the internet.
  • HI just got a quick question.

What exactly is "one stop selling"?

I keep seeing it mentioned but can't seem to find out what it is!

Thanks and sorry if its already been posted.

i found this on the avon website:

    One Stop Selling
One stop selling is where you call on each customer just once a campaign. You will need to order a brochure for EVERY potential customer, but as you can see from the 'Order additional brochures' option, this is really a very economical way to increase your business. The benefits include:
    • Time saving as you only call on each customer once every three weeks Keeps your brochure out for the maximum time - the longer the brochure is out the more time a customer has to look through it thoroughly, and the more they spend Find new customers - by leaving the brochure out with your customers they may show it to friends or family who do not normally see a brochure
    • All the above will help you to increase your sales and therefore your earning opportunity
Step 1 - Drop off next brochure (A) to every customer as you deliver your orders
Step 2 - Collect Brochure (A) and order. Leave next Brochure (B).
Step 3 - Deliver Order (A). Collect Brochure B and order. Leave next brochure (C)
Step 4 - Deliver Order (B). Collect Brochure (C) and order. Leave next brochure (D)

Just wanted to say to all newbies don't forget to register with HMRC as self-employed.

    And a note to all
You are only taxed on your PROFIT so keep all receipts for things like bags, labels, etc, even if it's only 50p.

INCOME = sales of Avon products
EXPENDITURE = cost of Avon products, paper bags, plastic bags, books, samples, freezer bags, labels, freebies you buy etc

INCOME - EXPENDITURE = PROFIT (this is what you are taxed on)

Make sure you keep receipts for and log everything, better in your pocket than the tax man's

Personal allowance amounts at the mo are: 07/08 £5225, 08/09 £6035
(this is the amount you can earn before you start paying tax (all jobs added together, employed and self-employed))

    Hope this makes sense.

Thanks for this Buffy, very useful. Can I just ask, how do demonstration products work? I have bought some demo stuff for errr oh yes demonstration of course;) can I claim that off. At the moment I am just running a spreadsheet with what I collect in money from customers minus what I have to pay Avon (inc. any extras like printing etc.), is this how everyone else does it?

I presume you can also include internet, phone calls and petrol in that figure ?

Do you have to tell them as we are well under that figure of 5k, benifits agency say we dont when we told them.
  • The only thing is, careful about including petrol if your car isn't insured for business use - so much information is shared around these days! If you only earn a relatively small amount, I don't think the IR ask for a breakdown of expenses, just a total amount so you can 'adjust' other items to take care of it. ;)

I've just spotted that if anyone orders the SuperFull Mascara for £5 in C17, it's part of the Beauty Bonus Bag 64881 at the bottom of page 46 in HT1. You won't get commission on the Mascara, but on the other hand you'll get 3 other items and a bag free!

I ordered 3 as I use the superfull mascara my self and the 3 bags with the other goodies inside im using as christmas pressies and adding a few other wee things aswel. Saving myself loadsa money:rotfl: and gaining the 3 mascaras for me :j .

I also received lots of free samples in my delivery this time and I knew I hadnt ordered them, but apparantly its an incentive I knew nothing about.

:o Sorry peeps thats what I get for posting and not readin the previous stuff, I am repeating what was said in previous posts, sorry.

I was just so excited at getting my freebies :j

Its called the iNRDP and its incentive for internet users only, so if you place your order online and reach a certain amount of sales each campaign you receive lots of free stuff.

    Here is how it works:

Reach Level 1 sales in 1st 2 campaigns you win 13 packs of 5 samples.
Reach Level 2 sales in 1st 2 campaigns you also win 27 packs of samples
(level 2 was more than £ 250 in sales, not sure what level one is)

Reach Level 1 sales in 3rd & 4th you win 10 pack of samples
Reach Level 2 sales in 3rd & 4th you also win a hello tomorrow organiser

Reach Level 1 sales in 5th & 6th you win 10 packs samples
Reach Level 2 sales in 5th & 6th you also win a hello tomorrow vanity bag

and thats not it if you achieve sales of £1500 in your 1st 6 campaigns "YOUR A SUPESTAR" :rotfl: and you receive a hello tomorrow demonstration bag.

    How good is that,

    HTH :p

Just viewed my invoice online for my order due wed... i have 2 items out of stock one which is DNR which is the power ranger pjs in 5/6... and the sunrise alarm clock which it said will be sent when more stock Anyone any idea how long this usually is so i tell the customer? Will they have to wait for my next delivery ??

The rubie bra and knickers from C17 was also unavailable so an alternative is being sent... i cant find it in the brochures i have here but maybe im blind today (dont feel too good ) so if you could help id much appreciate it....does anyone know what brochure the "Venetian rose" underwear is in??

I was going to visit my customer and show her whats being sent instead and explain before the delivery day so shes not disapointed on the night and wont feel so bad refusing the alternative if necessary.i dont wanna look all "pressure sales woman" as thats not me.. and shes a new customer and i s i know id personally feel bad saying No if someone was stood infront of me with the goods in hand... and PLUS she ordered a 10/12 thong... but the alternative being sent is just a 10.... what if shes a size 12?!! Id feel bad for her having to say well sorry that will be too small on the night too... would be very embarrassing for both of us too.:o

    Maybe i just worry too much........:o :o:o

Some my internet incentive prize samples are out of stock too  Cant even get my prizes right  :rotfl:
