Avon Hints and Tips (Part 2)

I thought better of buying clearance products as gifts for that very reason. If someone gave me a gift with order which I really liked and wanted to order more only to be told it had been discontinued i wouldn't be a bit miffed even though it was a freebie. I have stuck to ordering catalogue staples when on offer i.e 5 for £5 etc. I guess there are 2 bonuses, if the customer likes it and wants more they can buy it and also by the time they get the next book and the offer is over they might think that their freebie is worth more than I paid.......maybe!! Then (hopefully) think what a nice Avon rep giving things like that as a thank-you!! I can but hope!!;)
My thoughts entirely! I also break down beauty bonus bags for freebies for the same reason. And it does work - I've got a lot of customers I've never even met, they order through my customers because they say I do the best freebies in the whole of Cov. One of my customers knows six different reps (including 2 of my team, it must be said - you can lead a horse to water and all that) and orders from me every time0 -

How is it classed as theft if they're your books? Sounds dodgy but hopefully someone with a bit more know-how will give a clearer answer. It's a shame you can't just call Avon for verification - now the call centre is in India, anything more that the simplest query seems to cause great confusion.what new rep prizes?
Just noticed it is only for internet users (bit unfair but I guess it's easier for them to get everyone online). I'd completely forgotten about it till I won the sample packs!
iNRDP = internet New Representative Development Programme

How can you steal books that you own0 -
Happy Birthday Elliebee
I got the skincare sample pack and organiser/calculator in my order today :T
As my first campaign was only 5 days long I only had sale of £133 so missed out on Campaign 1 & 2 gifts  and I would've preferred those lol
On track for Demo bag though, just worry about sales for C1 (which is my 6th campaign) as I'd like the vanity bag too :rolleyes:Small business owner 🧵 Ex MSE comper 🏆 Student loan repayer 💴 Romanian dog rescuer 🐕 Hopefully a cost of living survivor 🤞🏻0 -
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELLIEBEE!!
Oooh Melvis im jealous... i want the organiser/calculator too and the vanity bag...
But my campaign 3 and 4 for the organiser are C1 and C2 over xmas
and my 5 and 6 campaigns for the vanity bag are C3 and C4 the short ones. :rolleyes:0 -
I'm jealous too! I started five days before they introduced the incentive, and I'd have hit the £250 level all six times!
Claire, who said you're not allowed to collect your books?0 -
a couple of weeks ago i phoned the local charity shop and asked if i could leave a book. i spoke to the manager and she said it was fine... dropped off book and collected order when i promised to... today i telephoned to check that the volunteer was in today so that i could deliver. this time it was a different person who answered the phone. walked down to the shop with the order (and my storm handbag and jeep watch to show them). when i got there this other manager blocked the doorway to the back room and shouted to the person who had ordered that 'they had better come and sort this out'. the volunteer then had to retreive her bag from the locked cupboard and pay me in the middle of the shop (which i thought was bad in front of customers). i then politely asked if i could leave the next book and was rudely told (in front of customers and staff) that i couldn't. the other manager (nice one was there and went bright red) it was really quite embarrasing. i really did not understand what the problem was as it is not as if they are paid employees wasting company time and also the order was for underwear (not what you really want to buy second hand). it would have been nicer of her to deal with it quietly in the back room instead of in a shop full of customers.
why are people so nasty??? i don't think i did anything wrong as i asked for permission from a manager to leave the book there.... sorry for the rant but she really quite upset me and i left feeling quite tearful
lokiit's nice to be important but more important to be nice!! :kisses3:0 -
ooh ring the head office and complain about the nasty manager, as they are paid!
the rep insentices thingy.....i do order online and always have had. when did they bring the insentives in?0
