I'd complain as well - it doesn't matter who they are, it doesn't give them the right to speak to anyone like that.
Mousie, the incentive came in at the start of C14 this year.
I have sorted my delivery today and lots of missing items again including some that were missing last campaign that they had promised to send this time  but on the plus side it's a bit like Christmas already, sorting through all of the stuff I've got free. I got a personal match foundation (was 2 for £10, customer told me to order one of them for myself), 2 handbags (Xmas presents!), a paddle brush (well pleased as they've sent the new-style red one), an Anew beauty bonus bag (well, this one cost me the £2 difference for the flash facial, but it's worth it, may keep it rather than breaking it down for incentives!) 2 thongs (customer doesn't 'do' thongs, even for the sake of them matching the bra), a colour trend clutch bag (minging, will go in incentives pile), and 2 x room and linen spray!
AND I earned my regular commission, sales leader commission and some extra due to clever ordering!!!
So I'm a bit happy at the moment0 -
You know how shark hunters have shark's teeth necklaces, and on tv movies people will have a dragon's tooth dangling somewhere? Well I've now got my own war trophy - a cat's claw! (Well, just the outer sheath, it doesn't look solid.) Dropping note to mad cat lady, finger went a little too far in the letter box, a thump hit the door and my finger hurt! At first I thought it was just one of those hungry letterboxes, then looked at my finger as I walked away and there's a claw sticking out of it! Also got a nice knuckle to tip scratch.
So, the important thing is, do I use my battle trophy as a necklace, or a funky earring?!0 -
I got my 1st internet incentive delivered with my last order, I managed over £250 for both my LOA1 & 2 so I got the bumper sample pack and the makeup sample pack, i've worked out how much it would have cost me to buy and it was £56.90 :j
I've sorted it all out, bagged them up, labelled them and done a list to give people. Created a voucher which I will put in with each sample for 10% off full sized product (tip from here, thank you)
At the mo I only sell to family and friends so feel i'm doing quite well, not sure what will happen after Christmas though.

Hi

Just wanted to say to all newbies don't forget to register with HMRC as self-employed.
And a note to all
You are only taxed on your PROFIT so keep all receipts for things like bags, labels, etc, even if it's only 50p.
INCOME = sales of Avon products
EXPENDITURE = cost of Avon products, paper bags, plastic bags, books, samples, freezer bags, labels, freebies you buy etc
INCOME - EXPENDITURE = PROFIT (this is what you are taxed on)
Make sure you keep receipts for and log everything, better in your pocket than the tax man's
Personal allowance amounts at the mo are: 07/08 £5225, 08/09 £6035
(this is the amount you can earn before you start paying tax (all jobs added together, employed and self-employed))
Hope this makes sense.

Can I just ask....
Does anyone know how much doing Avon can affect benefits. Im currently claiming some and know that I should declare but am worried they will take too much away and I wont be able to afford it.
Thanks0 -
Minigirl, there is a post some pages back, you can find it here; http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=15029703&postcount=987
Please remember, this is just general guidance. As I am no longer at the jobcentre any more detailed queries need to be directed to your advisor there. As a rule of thumb, though, you won't actually end up out of pocket. And don't forget, as for tax as Buffyflump says, only your PROFIT will be counted, so keep detailed records of every penny that could be considered a business expense! For example, your phone line, your internet, any goods you buy for incentives...0 -
