Or should i put the books out to those who didnt order.... then give those that did order the book when i deliver their order or couple of days later or something? Would that work dya think?
That's exactly what I do. My delivery is on a Wednesday, and I start delivering books on the Monday of that week, excluding those who have ordered. A bit tricky to keep track of, but as you say, you don't want people to see the book before they have their order.'Better to ask a silly question than to make a silly mistake' Elliebee's Mum

I've just spotted that if anyone orders the SuperFull Mascara for £5 in C17, it's part of the Beauty Bonus Bag 64881 at the bottom of page 46 in HT1. You won't get commission on the Mascara, but on the other hand you'll get 3 other items and a bag free!'Better to ask a silly question than to make a silly mistake' Elliebee's Mum

Oh that reminds me.... little spot of mine...
Ive had a customer backorder the ANEW wrinkle corrector from C17... im on C18 and spotted its included in the beauty bonus bag in HT2.. so i ordered that instead. Bag is £6... so i'll get:- The ANEW item i need
- £1.50 extra commission (£4 in total)
- FREE Nail experts strong results
- FREE Uplifting Mascara
- FREE Skin so soft wintersoft handcream
- FREE advance technique protect it spray
- FREE handbag
Im buying the bag above it too as i have lots customers (including myself) who use the "sueded nudes" eyeshadow which is usually £7 in the book... Ok so you dont get commission ON THAT £7 but for the £1.75 you get plenty of freebies!0 -
Being on the last mailplan I miss out on all the HT ones, my girl in mailplan A has done a runner with the money  so I need to recruit another person in that area fast so she can order all my clearance for me!
But I check the online offers all the time and have stocked up on bags when there's stuff I know I can sell in them. I've got it coming out my ears lol but I keep a spreadsheet of what I buy and what I pay, and I've made plenty of extra commission and got lots of extra stock, some I give to my customers as freebies (and I've got a lot whose friends buy from me now as well because I am getting a name for having THE BEST freebies) and some I put with bags to form a recruiting incentive. Most of the time you only need to sell one item to recoup your money!0 -
After spending a daft amount of time working with spreadsheets, I now know that I earn on average 30p take home pay for every book I drop, which is much better than leafleting!
Going from Campaign 1, I'm going to log how many hours I'm spending on Avon, treating it like a proper business! It'll also give me a realistic base knowledge for when I take on new recruits.
Average spend per customer per campaign: £7.46
Commission earned C16 - £64.09, C17 - £46.88
That is not including getting myself extra commission by clever ordering.
Of course all that money has been spent on books, foodbags, avon bags... and lots of goodies for me!
To do the one stop selling (though not order a book for every single house cuz I'm keeping my caretaking roads on a book behind), my book cost will be £13.40 (21 packs).
Obviously if you're reusing the books more than once that cost will be a lot lower.
So, if my average commission is £55.48 per campaign, and my book cost is £13.40... round that up to £15 to include buying bags etc.
I'm taking home a minimum of £40 per campaign, which is ok by me. Again that's not including any extra commission & free gifts gotten through clever ordering.
At my current commission levels, if I can get down the amount of time spent on each campaign to 5 hours, I'll be earning the same per hour as in my old day job, for a lot more fun! :j
The most important thing is now I know where to cap my own spending!0 -
Gutted
just been on the phone to my sales manager, after being told a road is free, it isnt. I cant go and collect my books, add to that there are no other free roads in my area. Nearest is 5 miles away and I dont drive.
im truely gutted0 -
I just posted on facebook to see what was up.
Do you live somewhere very rural? Otherwise it's odd to not have any territory free anywhere near. If you drive I'd say get some territory within driving distance, you'll still get plenty of orders and it'll be worth it even with petrol prices as they are, especially in the run-up to Christmas.
I'm guessing you've already got friends and family that you're already showing your book to, if you drive are there any local shops, offices, petrol stations, hairdressers, schools... anywhere like that in easy distance? If so, could you leave books there, that might help.0 -
