Thanks Melvis
How well does everyone do with their Avon. You get told that you could earn loads but I never know whether to believe or not.0 -
OMG, it has taken me days to read through this thread from start to finish but gleaned some good ideas from it and feel I know a little bit more about Avon as a result.
I'm another newbie, still on my first campaign (C18, I'm on mailplan K) and am really pleased with how it is going. I am mostly territory based (210 houses) as friends and family are spread across the country but am up to £380 customer orders so far with books back in from less than half of my territory and my MIL is drumming up business too near her.
I'm having a few problems with territory but nothing to get me too miserable - I am DEFINITELY the named rep for a particular road (I've seen the mapping system with my own eyes) yet at least 2 other reps think it is theirs as well!!
I'm trying to get the hang of the back-ordering thing and getting the best deal for myself but I suspect it will take a bit of practice.
As for me, I have one 22-month old toddler and baby #2 is due in 7 weeks. I moved house a month ago to a completely new area and started Avon almost 2 weeks ago. Am I insane?... probably!
Anyway, a question for you already - sorry...
I've already had 4 orders for BG007 with the bonus bag - one of them I'm back-ordering from C17 as the customer also wants the reduced story santa - but is there an offer or anything in the HT that came with C17? I've only got the HT that came with C18 for C2.
My ASM is desperate for me to be an SL but I'm going to wait a while seeing as I'm going to have 2 under 2's soon and suspect just repping will be hard enough. I'm loving getting out with the pushchair though and there's loads of hills where I live now so it must be getting me fit even if I feel like I'm dying sometimes LOL.
Anyway, I look forward to chatting with you all and feel like I know some of you already from reading your posts.:jAvon Rep since C18 2008 (Sales Leader since C7 2009) and Usborne Rep since March 2008:j0 -
Welcome, Minigirl & Lozza!
Lozza............yes, insane, definitely........you'll fit in really well here
The earnings seem to vary enormously according to the area you have and how much work you put in. Speaking personally, I do it to give myself a little 'whoopee money' (don't get much of that on a pension), and my average is around the £200 per campaign mark, so £30 or so average commission. My C18 is going well; I'm up to around £260 with my back-order area and all last time's customers still to collect + a few O & S's. Hoping for at least £400.
By the way - remember I said I had 21 items short from my C17 order? Well, would you believe there was still an item missing from the replacements  I can't even tell my customer it's out of stock, as it was free with another item.'Better to ask a silly question than to make a silly mistake' Elliebee's Mum

Hi Lozza
There is a HT for C17 -but no offers for either of those items. Was that what you meant? But Bond Girl in C17 had the bonus bag with it, if that's what you meant. Sorry, I'm not taking things in too well this morning.
As most of you know, my ASM is a star, but I have been really impressed by the ASM of another nearby area who I have recruited a lot of people into. When I sent her a territory request the other day her reply said THANK YOU for working in my area, rather than trying to nick my reps herself, and she has also cc'd me into her newsletters so I can see what she's sending my reps (and rob the ideas for myself if needs be!) How fab is that? And why can't they all be so friendly and supportive?
My sales leader statement topped £100 for the first time today! :j0 -

Well done! I meant the first time it topped £100 without FSB
I know what you mean, though, you never see the results of your hard work until the campaign after, do you? I have two trainees now, was hoping for advanced by C18 but it's going to be 1 at the earliest, I think.0 -
Hi Minigirl and Lozza!
As others have said, earnings vary enormously. There's one girl in my area that gets in around £2000 a campaign!
I'm getting round about the £200 mark (currently dropping to 220 houses), I've done newsletters, samples, free gift offers, as yet all to no avail. I must say though that with every campaign I'm picking up new customers... so many people have had trouble with Avon reps coming and going quickly that they wait a while to see if you keep turning up.0 -

I didnt get my Fast track bonus, even though 5 reps all placed orders. Avon didnt receive one of the contracts so they put one of my reps orders on hold for 2 weeks until I came back off holiday and could send them a fax of the contracts. So cos the reps order wasnt released for so long, I didnt get the FSB  not fair, wasnt my fault Royal Mail are rubbish lol xProud to be dealing with my debts

I put my C18 order in today... delivery is in a week... silly question but how do you go about giving books out. Last time i waited to put the new book out until id delivered everyones order, but obviously i lost a week!!
I dont know whether to drop the new book now...and hope no-one sees something cheaper in next book and cancels their order! Has anyone had that happen?
Or should i put the books out to those who didnt order.... then give those that did order the book when i deliver their order or couple of days later or something? Would that work dya think?0 -
I am going to give my C1s to the people that have ticked 'yes please' to books first off and then give them to my C18 customers afterwards in the same bag as their delivery to save doing 2 trips to them.:jAvon Rep since C18 2008 (Sales Leader since C7 2009) and Usborne Rep since March 2008:j0
