Just ignore it - Mackenzie HALL CAN NOT send bailiffs to your house - only a court can do that. They are 'fishing' and will probably be trying to land you with an 'alleged debt' that either does not exist, or could be unenforceable.

Just ask yourself the question - 'Why did they not tell me, by letter, what they want?'
Simple - they don't know.

Do NOT call these 'parasites'.:mad:

i too received the exact tnt slip!! looks like they have sent out their latest batch of letters / slips in the vain hope that they will get some money from peope who dont know their rights.

My parents received a note from MH regarding a debt they have never had nor have they ever made a paymet or been given a demand to the company that MH allege are the original creditor.

A couple of letters to MH asking for proof or debt and contract have been igored with further demands being received. I have taken on the correspondence and am doing so via email as this is cheaper and my server tells me if an email is not received so no need to register post etc. I put a note on saying all emails would be considered delivered if no error message was received by me.

This obnoxious individual ignored my explanation that no debt was owed and no contract had been entered into and that no claims by the original creditor had been made to have any bill or debt paid. He actually recommended I contact the Police for a crime number as someone had obviously fraudulently used my mothers ID to open an account in her name. Not being entirely stupid and certainly not falling for that one I asked who how a fraud had been committed as no contract exists to owe money on in the first place.
I asked for documentary evidence of the debt and its assignment but he said these would only be provided if the case went to court; being used to preparing and presenting court cases I said I would be only too pleased to see him there with his papers. I will of course be making a point of asking why the proof of debt could only be provided to the court and not to me before it got there.

We have contacted the original creditor company and they have no record of any contract or debt in my mothers name, how have MH aquired such a debt whe even the original, alleged, creditor has no record.

The earlier suggestion by the 18-stone rugby player is looking attractive. ho ho.

NEVER get into the 'ID fraud' scenario - it's their usual proposal and it is total 'bullsh1te'.
As far as 'documentary evidence ONLY being provided in Court - this is YET another example of Mackenzie Hall thinking that THEY write the Law - D'you know - I actually think they believe it.

maybe thats so when you ring and say you are someone else , they try to find something to pin on the new person !!! this company should be stopped

The letter was addressed to someone I'd never heard of, to my address (which i've been at for over 10 years.)

I was desperately tyrying to phone Mackenzie Hall (constantly engaged) but thanks to the contributors to this forum i'm just goingto ignore this letter.
