No problem Donnie. You do enough for everyone on here already :T. I'm not in any great rush but I'd like to get something in the next two weeks or so. Do you think it's worth waiting to come round again?

Don't know if they have any left. I know they didn't sell all of the previous batch when the listing had ended. Still didn't after they put the price up.

So I was sure that there were going to be re-listed. Now, I have no idea as to whether they have any left or if so, when they will re-list.

Perhaps they will tell if you ask. :)
  • I bought one of the MSIs yesterday and am now waiting for it to arrive on Monday. Thank you Donnie for the advice and help, it's much appreciated!

Just to say thanks to Donnie. Amidst all the sniping and etc. I found your advice throughout the thread very helpful.
I got an MSI and so far, so good. I'm a happy bunny - thanks!

I don't mind a bit of to-ing and fro-ing. It happens in the normal run of things in a family setting. So it's just like I'm arguing with brothers and sisters. ;)
  • Hi Donnie - any views on the Samsung R519 (T4300/ 4gb ram / 250gb hdd) - argos clearances have it for 300.

I think it's a good buy. Definitely not a sexy laptop. Another member has mentioned something about Samsung keyboards, but hasn't yet expanded on it.
It's a good basic laptop. No HDMI output though if that is important to you.
  • Thanks Donnie - cpu/ram look great for the price but my other daughter does want something a little sexy looking, so I guess I'll wait. I have no idea what HDMI is!

It's a connector that allows you to connect your laptop to your HDTV. So you can watch your content on the bigger screen.
  • Hi Donnie,

I too am looking to buy a laptop for university, really gutted I missed out on the MSI Argos clearance deal!

What do you think of the Samsung R530? cgi.ebay.co.uk/SAMSUNG-R530-15-6IN-LAPTOP-REFURB-/360301873975?pt=UK_Computing_Laptops_EH&hash=item53e3aa4b37

MSI CR700 £300. Again, not sexy, but a lot of functions with which to rival her sister's machine. :)
