Evening folks
I need to get a laptop asap as mines on its last legsmy budget is about £350 but would love to get one cheaper. I mainly watch videos online, listen to music, word process and generally surf. I don't want to go near Vista (again) and would like windows 7. Paying via paypal would be great aswell.
Thanks0 -

This ASUS X5DIJ at £289 would be ok for you.0 -
Thanks guys

There is very little in it. The Advent has more RAM, though in general use you won't notice the difference. Anyway to upgrade the RAM will cost a lot less than the price differential.
You can try it and if it doesn't suit your needs, send it back. I certainly wouldn't pay the extra.0 -

Would you recommend this over the following:
https://www.saveonlaptops.co.uk/Dell_Inspiron_11z_1003534.html
And what do you think of this:
http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/advent-modena-refurbished-laptop-06200195-pdt.html
I'd like to stay around the 250 quid mark but would go to 300 if it was great!
Ps. Also noticed the one you propose has a bigger screen!0 -

The first is more akin to a Netbook. Low spec CPU and no optical drive(CD/DVD).
The second? No, I would not chose it above the ASUS.0 -

Thanks for your help. I just noticed you also recommended the MSI CR610 here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MSI-CR610-15-6IN-LAPTOP-REFURB-/330468997704?pt=UK_Computing_Laptops_EH&hash=item4cf17cba48
For an extra 10 pounds, is this better value for money?
Thanks again0 -

No, as it is not the same variant as the machine that I recommended.

Sorry, I'm a bit confussed. So you think the old version is better?
Would you choose it over the Asus X5?
Finally, I've also see some Toshiba's recommended by people. What's your opinion on this one:
