thanks
yeah it was nice to achieve something computer related as i dont have much techy confidence. theyre a local business so can always point people in their direction if they have IT problems, word of mouth is important in business.
yeah its vista i'm running
Word of mouth is nice.... but paying him something is even better. There is money saving and there is taking advantage...
If you have a problem in the future, he may be much more reluctant to help you out without a deposit.
I didn't ask if it was Vista you were running... but whether it was (Home) Basic, Home Premium...0 -
i cant pay anyone anything til payday and he knows this
to be honest i think trying to charge £60 to clean out a fan is trying to take advantage, i know businesses have to make money but thats a bit ridiculous.

Hi I am looking for a new laptop £350 being top end of my budget. I was looking in tesco at Acer Aspire-571 15.6" laptop 8gb RAM memory for £349 - is this good value like the salesman said? lol or just a good sales pitch?
TIA0 -

TIAThere's a few good deals floating around at the moment, though the best couple are slightly above your budget (eg HERE and HERE), and potentially more than you might need (you don't say what you'll use it for)

Its really for family use - kids for homework, me for shopping! Not gaming or anything like that really. Thanks

Edit: just seen your most recent post. Although it's not a bad price for 8GB, it's probably overkill for what you want to use it for.0 -
