Why is that 'off topic'??0 -
Maybe because it was a dell ploy just to get the unwary onto their website - reading the linked page the laptop didn't seem to be available for quoted price .0

The dell deal was 'expired' earlier which didn't help as I didn't even try it.
Worked just now £230.60 delivered.0 -

A bit off-topic because its hardly powerful, pretty good though. But for the price was good. Deal now expired (the pre-voucher price is £329). Must have been a misprice? If you put your general location in your Profile, somebody here may be able to come and help you.0

What are you talking? Most of the laptops on here are not 'powerful'.
What has happened is that specification has gone up and prices have come down since the topic began.
That laptop would have qualified as powerful not so long ago.
It's fine, it's just ugly. Not a fan of DELL, especially their cheap stuff.0 -

It will mostly be used for photography stuff, photoshop, internet, movies, and some games (Sims etc)
Any advice would be a huge help! Thank you!0 -

That's too expensive for a. an HP and b. an Athlon processor. For similar money this would be good, especially as you can get 3 years add-on warranty for £50 (look under Popular Extras) total £400. Not sure how long the warranty price reduction will be on for.

I don't know if anything special is needed for your "photography stuff , photoshop" (e.g. graphics card) but I doubt it. This laptop wont play very modern action games very well either but Sims should be fine. (NB. I've assumed your budget is about £400)If you put your general location in your Profile, somebody here may be able to come and help you.0 -
I think it can be hit and miss with whatever you buy really.0
