Has anyone used this deal to get an extra £50 off a laptop, pc or netbook at PC World?
I'm not allowed to post the link but search pc worrld trade in laptop on google and it appears as the 3rd item.
They are advertising (Daily Mail, yesterday) £30 off with a trade in but this is obviously a better deal.
some interesting small print with this 'offer'

Do you mean this one for £330?0 -
We went for this one in the end:
http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Search?storeId=10001&catalogId=1500002451&langId=-1&searchTerms=ACER+ASPIRE+5551A#pdpFullProductInformation
A little over the £350 of this thread at £379, but with quidco and a £10 Argos Voucher for spending over £100 it worked out nicely.
Incidentally, I fired off this email to Currys regarding their current laptop deals:Having spent a few weeks researching Laptops I was happy to find the model I was looking for in stock in my local Currys store. While researching the model I was pleased to discover an offer advertising £25 off any laptops at £399 and over using the code PC25 which was to be added at the online checkout. I firstly attempted to enter the code on a store collect reservation but despite the website advising me that the code could be entered at checkout there was no box to submit the code. I rechecked the site on several machines using several different browsers, all to no avail. I decided to order for home delivery instead, however, your website refused to let me get as far as checkout and would constantly refresh the page where I input my address. Again, I attempted to order the laptop on several different machines all with the same effect.
I visited the Festival Park, Stoke on Trent store and explained the problem to a young man on the sales floor. I had with me screen shots of the website and voucher code to prove my difficulties. The young man then went off to speak to the Manager of the store to enquire if they could add the discount in store. He reappeared some 5 minutes later, seemingly completely uninterested and informed us that the Manager had said there was nothing he could do. I was rather put out by his response and asked to speak to the Manager myself, to which the boy told me he was "far too busy". I left the store with my cash still in my pocket and have now purchased my Laptop from another company.
PC World we as equally unhelpful, despite the Sales Manager trying the website and having the same problems they still would not discount the £25 code.
Their loss.0 -

Not sure it was the best machine for you. Please note item 5083345 has previously been on sale at £349.99.
Does it have a built in microphone? Try using the webcam to chat with someone in order to check.0 -

Not sure, its OH's machine, I work on a MacBook Pro. He's over the moon with it anyway, its running CAD perfectly and to be honest he doesn't have any use for webcam or microphone anyway. Its primarily a general surfing/CAD machine.0 -

He's happy
I gave him my old 13" MacBook but he's never settled with it, DD is incredibly happy now as she has inherited it. In the end we decided to go for the cheaper laptop and buy an iPad as well for the family to use so everyone is happy now0 -
Hi all
i hope someone can help. Iam looking for a brand new Toshiba laptop and have narrowed it down to 3 models. They are:-
Satellite L670-1DR
Satellite L670-1DL
Satellite L670-10N
Now Argos say they have the 10N but on looking at their specifications they differ largely from the specs on the Toshiba website, for example Argos says 2GB ram and Toshiba says 4GB
I know I will not get either of these laptops under 350 quid but I'm looking for the best deal possible, alone or with a discount voucher, deal or code.
The best price so far is 520 for the 10N and 532 for the 1DR
Can anyone help please. THanks0 -
I desperately need a laptop as I cannot get out hardly at all at the moment and this one I am using cuts out for days due to a fault where the adaptor connects, so once that happens and it's off I can't connect up again.
I will have to order online and I previously had a Samsung NP-R60Y but it got dropped. I would like a built in webcam and mic if possible roughly the same size as the samsung, not any smaller. I've got a decent newish webcam tho,so not essential, just more handy if my health improves and I can get out and about.
I also would like a fast-ish processor and decent memory/battery life. I will only beusing it at home connected to the power tho. Obviously it'd be better with wireless built in, I am not tekky minded so sorry to be vague.
I would rather spend a higher amount of money on something that will last as at the moment I cannot get out and even as I am typing this my current adaptor connection has failed and the battery last 13 mins for me to try and fix power supply, so any help urgently would be great as I now have to turn off power and come back to check the thread. I've tried new adaptors for this but none work.
Please if anyone could advise ASAP I'd be very grateful.
I don't want a refurbished product had probs before, also not worried about free virus as I use AVG, ad aware etc
Thanks
I am a member of Top Cashback I have joined Quidco but not used yet. I also have quite alot of Tesco clubcard vouchers maybe £40 which I think I can still double. I am an argos cardholder too.My space bar is broken so apologies if parts of my post's appear jumbled, thanks for your patience & for reading.
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.0
