The screen sound a tad small, or is the difference between 15.4 and 13.3 not noticeable

Yeah thats what i thought at first and then looked at the resolution ..
    which is 13.3" TFT 1366 x 768 ( WXGA ) - 24-bit (16.7 million colours)

Most std 15.4 are 1024 x 768 so this actually shows more because its a wide screen.. it has an external monitor port too so you can connect it to a bigger screen when working from a desk.
  • Hello, I find that two places offer good value for money on Laptops. First there is Novatech and second Dabs, although with the second sometimes the spec isn't quite up to scratch.

Looking to get my parents a laptop for xmas, their (my) old desktop is on it's last legs. This HP G62-A19 caught my eye

    http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/hp-g62-a19sa-refurbished-laptop-07576497-pdt.html

I'm not up on laptops, have never owned one. For £315 (code) with a 12 month warranty, does this like a good deal? I'd rather not spend more than £300-350 as they will only be using it for basic word processing and web browsing, but equally they will probably have it for a while so looking to get the most for my £.

    cheers
    zaf.

I was on here a week or so back looking through this thread to try and find a new Laptop within my budget of £359 max, you know when you have too much info :rotfl:
Well I took some Specifications of peoples posts and used that as a guide and grabbed myself this on Ebay

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280584271102&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

It was on the daily deals at £299.99 plus free P&P and even got a years bulldog anti virus thrown in, with live support which came in handy the 1st night I had it, something to with my IP hub.
    Great Laptop though(imo)
