I am on Orange Dolphin package and have just spoken to customer services to see if there are any "deals" available

I was told I could have £5 a month discount for the next 18 months
This means that I get unlimited texts and 200 minutes (every month) for just £10 a month - and I can cancel giving 30 days notice if I like.
Sounds like a good deal to me :cool:0 -
What is the best current PAYG now?0

my son has given me his old phone which is on vodafone network, but he kept his SIM.
Can I just buy an Asda PAYG SIM, will it work or do I have to unlock the phone?0 -

Hiya, the credit you put on the phone (i can only speak for Vodafone) stay there, the only stipulation i have been told to follow is to make sure i at least make a call from the number at least once every 3 months or the you will loose the number. no one touches the credit. Great isn't it.Can anyone see whether the credits from a top-up have a finite life and if yes, how long they last? I can't find anything on their website that mentions this.
This is key for people who make few calls. If a £10 top up gives you call credits that expire after, say, a month, then if you make 10 minutes of calls that month the effective rate per minute is £1.
Edit:
Ah! Reading Arachna's original post more carefully, it says credits don't expire. Still can't see it on the ASDA website, however.0 -
