I've found the catch with ASDA mobile - they block VoIP communications despite assuring me that the data service is not crippled in any way. Bad luck for those of you who like to use Truphone over 3G.0

I'm with o2 on PAYG, I'm not a heavy user £10.00 lasts me a couple of monhs, however, whilst in the queue at checkout I noticed a leaflet for "Asda Mobile"
Anyone have any experience of Asda mobile, just wondering if it's worth my transfering to them

Best deal out there on payg. Found them to be great for me. The low rate to landlines and other mobiles is fantastic!0

I've found ASDA mobile to be excellent. One of the great things is that it's on the Vodafone network, which is FAR better than the T-Mobile network you get with most other PAYGs- I used to be on Virgin and kept losing signal in my house, now I'm full bars all the time.
Of course the other great thing is the price- I send a couple of texts a day and make occasional calls when necessary. Now I know it's cheaper I'm using it more, but still spending less- less than £5 a month!
SIM is 50p but when you register you get a £1 free credit anyway, so you don't really pay anything to join.0 -
it looks like tesco's new PAYG is probably the best bet now.
top-up £10 and get a further £10 free credit for a month, plus 5 favourite numbers are half price @5p/text..10p/call plus clubcard points on top of that!!0
